I currently have a painful dry eczema flare up in which I cannot even sleep at night due to skin pain and dryness making it difficult to move unless I moisturize. The doctor has now prescribed a steroid cream which the pharmacy did not have in stock yesterday and said come back tomorrow it will arrive. I came back today and it still has not arrived. They said ring or come in tomorrow or the day after as there is a problem with deliveries. This pharmacy has been messing me about recently even with my inhaler. There was an incident where the surgery did not successfully manage to pass my prescription online to the pharmacy which delayed my inhaler for a day or two. And something like an inhaler is life saving so I do not expect such mistakes. Going back to my current issue, I initially had bad communication with Milman Kennet surgery also where last Friday (17/06), the Dr phoned me but I couldn't take the call due to work commitments so I phoned again around 3pm and the receptionist said the Dr will phone by 6.30pm which they never did. So I had to phone the next day. My question is would the surgery have called me next day or would they have forgotten. I feel no assurance from this practice. So both surgery and pharmacy have shown poor commination to me as a patient, especially when my eczema is causing me pain. I expect a simple procedure of getting a prescription on the day and begin using my meds so I can begin to heal. I do not expect to be running around professional people. So where it stands is I still do not have my prescription which should have been given to me last Thursday and I do not even have an idea when my medicine will arrive.
