    On 28 November I had spent the day in bed, believing I had food poisoning. By the evening, my temperature was 39 degrees, heart rate was 141 and my blood pressure was 114. 111 advised to phone the out of hours doctor but they had no appointments. Mum phoned the Ireland Wood pharmacy and described the symptoms. She was advised it could be sepsis and to dial 999 if my blood pressure dropped below 110, which it did. She was also warned to monitor blood pressure and when it went below 100, we phoned 999 again. When the ambulance crew examined the wound on my back from surgery on 11 November, it was infected and I was taken to Accident and Emergency. I then spent a week in hospital with antibiotics on an intravenous drip. Thanks to that advice from the pharmacy I am still here to write this review.

    I was referred to the pharmacist by the GP surgery today. I was experiencing excruciating sinus pain having had Covid. The Pharmacist listened to me, was caring, give practical advise that made a difference and shortened my suffering. Thank you.
