Review titled Long wait for prescriptions

The GP practice sends prescriptions electronically to Boots pharmacy. Unfortunately, their pharmacy is unable to cope and it takes several days for them to have the prescription ready to collect. The latest was 6 days and when I rang, the prescription was still not ready. Be aware that you need to ask your GP practice well in advance for your needs.

Rang on Friday as was told by local Phsrmacy that this one was doing Walk in vaccines on Saturday. Rang the Monks Cross one on the Friday to double check and was told that was correct. On arriving we went in to the Monks Cross one made our way to the back of the store only to be asked “Have you got an appointment,?” When we said “No and explained why the lady responded “I’m sorry Itssnot s walk in today, it’s appointments only today we’re fully booked” She offered to book us in at a later date. Being disabled neither of us were happy at the walk for nothing, won’t go back there.
