  1. Review titled 111 Emergency prescription procedure - total failure

Rated 1 star out of 5

While trying to get an emergency prescription for my grandmother I used 111 online prescription request process using Ashtree as the Pharmacy, when I rang to check they informed me they hadn't had anything and i needed to ring 111. I did exactly the same process and sent the request to boots pharmacy who had it prepared within minutes. Ashtree Pharmacy is clearly not set up to take these requests or is seriously lacking is staff training and should not be on the recommend list of emergency prescriptions if they are unable to handle these requests.

  2. Review titled Avoid, unless you like terrible service

June 2022 i was diagnosed with a treatable condition through daily medication, each prescription and pills supplied lasts 28 days Every 3 weeks when i have about a week left i go in and fill out a request form for more, leaving this in the red letterbox, the order form asking for 4working days notice, allowing them time to make up the full prescription In July i was coming to end of the first boxes of pills, having filled out the form i when in to collect nothing! As the Dr hadn't authorised the pills needed every month for the next year. Only when i spoke to the Dr's surgery staff did it get sent through. Move on a month,go in again 4 days after leaving order form, nothing to collect, wait around over half an hour while they look through all the green paper slips ask me my name numerous times, look for a box of these pills a box of those pills and make the full prescription up.3 months into treatment i collect a months supply(still not made up ready to collect) drive 10 miles home to find one of the types of pills just not even in the bag, nothing said that not in stock or a shortage and a few days supplied and an i.o.u. I spoke to the surgery admin about this, they got pharmacy manager to call me,saying "it will get sorted",well guess what they never sorted it,same problem every month,22 November, pills were ordered, also November 22 date signed off by Dr,as thats date on printed label on boxes,4 days later i return to collect...nothing,yet again only when you come to collect do they actually do anything.Move on another month to end December 2022 Saturday 17th i leave the order form,go in 7pm Thursday 22nd on way home after a 13 hr day worked, nothing to collect, again! Assistant spent 10 minutes thumbing through green slips, makes some excuse about checking elsewhere and wonders off in to one of the nurses treatment rooms(same one i have bloods taken in) returns after another ten minutes, starts thumbing through same pile of green slips.clearly no idea what they are doing so i leave.Next day i call the Dr's surgery and admin once again ask Pharmacy to call me,was told they only got authorisation through on Monday afternoon19 th Dec)so thats still all day Tuesday, all day Wednesday, all day Thursday to put boxes of 4 types of pills in a paper bag and put on self marked with same letter as my surname starts with, their excuse that Dr isn't signing it off is a blatant lie. The prescription was then sent back to something referred to as the Spine and i was told i could go to another Pharmacy,as i now had only 3 days pills left ,Friday 23 went in to Carnforth Pharmacy directly opposite Ashtrees, with in 10 minutes i had spoken to the manager, who had found my details, the prescription, order picked it all, bagged it and was calling my name to dispense it,a tale of 2 totally different experiences just 50 yards apart Ashtrees Pharmacy shame, what a real shame in customer service.
