  1. Review titled Why don’t physio actually manipulate?

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Lyndsay - Posted on 27 March 2024

I paid to see my NHS physio in lockdown as they weren’t allowed to work, I was manipulated and this really helped. But seeing the same person now and they don’t actually touch you but just advise. This doesn’t help and I don’t understand why they can’t manipulate as I would only need a couple of visits. I need help every now and again , struggled with sciatica for over 30year. Great physio but I wish they did more than speak

Dear Lyndsay Thank you for your posting. I am sure that you can appreciate that there are different ways to treat different injuries when they present and high velocity manipulation, the type you describe, is not something that we undertake. I would be more than happy to review the care you have received if you think that would help. If you would like me to do that, please email me on lesleycrosby@connecthealth.co.uk Kind regards Lesley Crosby Director of Governance and Quality

  2. Review titled Outstanding practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Robert Hellen - Posted on 27 March 2024

I was referred to Connect Health for a suspected Hip issue. The Physio was very professional and thorough explaining clearly the source of my concern after an intensive investigation. Plans for moving forward were agreed along with a range of suitable exercises. The Physio was understanding and supportive and provided excellent care and reassurance. I could not have asked for more or better. Looking forward to my next appointment.

  3. Review titled Utterly useless service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 May 2024

Over a period of a number of years I have suffered hip pain, which I was told was arthritis then not arthritis. Constantly have to chase up regarding physio appointments. Appointments cancelled at short notice Recently, in March received a letter saying was going to refer me for a course of physio and shockwave treatment to run concurrently. 2 Months later, I have heard nothing. I phone them and they say I need a physio appointment first. Not concurrent treatment. Apparently the clinician should have told me to contact them to arrange this. Meanwhile I am suffering increasing, intolerable pain. The person I spoke to was very unsympathetic, and unhelpful. I will seek treatment with a more reliable, caring and understanding service

  4. Review titled Excellent support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 April 2024

I have been given support over the past 6 months for a meniscus tear (knee injury). The physio team were extremely helpful throughout the process, I was always able to pick up the phone for support, as well as having 1 to 1 reviews in person and weekly group sessions where I could strengthen my knee. The PhysiApp makes it easy to exercise at home but the physio team are very helpful and knowledgeable, they are motivating and open to any questions.

  6. Review titled Outdated term used

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 April 2024

Please inform all of your staff that the term, "wheelchair bound" is outdated. Not even full-time wheelchair users are "bound" to their wheelchair, they will get out of it at some point in the day. The preferred term is "wheelchair user". This was not said to me in my face-to-face appoint but was used in my report. Please do not use this outdated term any longer. Thank you.

  8. Review titled Cannot get an appointment!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Bernard Scannell - Posted on 23 February 2024

Have now tried about a dozen times to get an appointment at your Witney clinic, but continually being told there are none and ring later. As I'm finding it difficult to walk at the moment, I cannot travel any distance easily. How do I get an appointment at Witney?

  9. Review titled Unprofessional

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 February 2024

I have Just seen an nhs physiotherapist very disappointed. He was saying it’s my rotator cuff, and I asked him to look at my recent scan notes which said inflammation of bursa .He was very contradicting,I do not want to be seen by him again. I felt it was a bit guesswork with him ,I think this was probably down to lack of experience,or that’s the way he came across. This is the second Physio in that particular hospital that I have been disappointed in. Physio’s don’t do anything anymore, except to ask a few questions and give you a couple of exercises. Unlike private physio’s that actually massage and go into your symptoms in more depth . NHS cutting corners again.

  10. Review titled 6 week gym access

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Julie Berridge - Posted on 04 February 2024

The 6 week gym access was a great help thank you. The Physio's organised an exercise program which has incresed my strength and reduced my pain, whilst offering support, advice and motivation. I will join the gym to continue with this
