Having left the military due to back pain I was referred to Ascenti by the NHS. Having undergone a few sessions they weren't as high a standard as military physiotherapists. Always big gaps between appointments, felt like I was being rushed out the appointments despite no one waiting. Being discharged after 2 treatments, physiotherapist telling me I'll get more appointments which was a lie and telling the doctors that I didn't need anymore therapy. I've now opted to go private and pay as the NHS/Ascenti treatment was terrible and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone especially those leaving the military.

Very attentive physio. Listened and gave good advice, and recommendations for exercise Also, accepted that continuing physiotherapy, was not the best conclusion, and has made recommendation that I should continue, into surgery.

I wish I could say something positive about my experience with Ascenti but unfortunately my experience was just horrible. I have been sent to Ascenti by my lawyers after my Motocycle accident. I have waited few weeks for my initial assessment. After that I haven’t heard back from them so I needed to chase after them just to find out that the physiotherapist who assessed me left the company without leaving notes about my health condition therefore they had to do another initial assessment for me. That took few weeks again , while this is happening I’m 4 weeks post accident and I still haven’t receive any health care. After another initial assessment finally I was sent for physiotherapy in meantime my therapist got sick so my appointment got cancelled. Another week of no help . Within my 4 sessions I have seen 3 different therapists as one called in sick, other one went on holidays and the third one was 22 min late for my scheduled appointment. Two of them happened to have very little knowledge about how to help me, I have not been taken care of properly, I have not felt safe and comfortable with them. I felt ignored and neglected. Being a sport professional and having anatomical knowledge and massive experience with physiotherapists in the past I have never experience such a disastrous treatment and service. It seems like the admin team do not communicate with the physiotherapists therefore I have completely wasted my time, money and effort going for my appointment that happened to be cancelled and no one even bothered to inform me. I’m still in pain 3 month post accident, nothing has been sorted and my case is being postponed due to lack of professionalism and serious treatment. You would think that private company would care about their client with high quality of service but what I have experienced is pure negligence

Appointments were timely and the physiotherapist was very thorough in her questioning and treatment. Excellent. Perhaps one criticism. I realise there need to be exercises to carry out at home, but maybe not quite so many or as many times per day. Especially as mine were to be continued for six months post treatment.

I found the physio sessions really beneficial & feel more confident in managing my symptoms. The exercises & advice given by the physiotherapist have been invaluable. I felt comfortable discussing my concerns with the practitioner who was caring & took time to explain different aspects of my treatment.

Did not help me much, but it was worth a try. The staff were very friendly. I have been referred back to the doctors

Very simple and effective treatment, very little fuss about anything. Taught me some simple exercises which helped in addition to the treatment which lasted about twenty minutes each occasion. Even though the problem is not completely solved I feel better now than before following this treatment. I still continue to carry on with those exercises that were taught to me.

My appointment was for my 10 year old daughter who had knee injuries due to sport. The depth of her injuries were far worse than I had realised until the physio should me things she actually couldn't do ie lift her legs, when led flat. The work he set her to do weekly, seemed somewhat simple to me, but was so hard for her. The improvement she made though was phenomenal, going for crying daily in agony, to actually playing and training 5 days a week is amazing. Plus she is soo much stronger know totally blown away!! Thank you so much.
