    I had a lung flow test today and would like to say how professional and friendly the respiratory technician was. He put me at ease and talked me through the process and explained what this meant at every stage stage. Excellent treatment!

    I had to have a tooth extracted, which was not straight forward due to a previous medical condition. What could have been an unpleasant experience was rendered easy by the lovely team who treated me. Not only extremely professional and efficient, but just lovely, kind, caring people who treated me with upmost care.

    I would like to say a “Massive Thank You” to The Surgical Admissions, *Day Surgery, *volunteer, Urogynecologist, the Theatre Team, Anaesthetist, the person training to be a paramedic, the hospitality team, the cleaners and anyone else who helped me with my surgery yesterday 28th February 2024. I am super grateful for the support, food, compassion, empathy, efficiency and professionalism you all showed before during and after I attended. Thank you!!! ❤️

    I would like to thank the liver nurses who managed my haemochromatosis at Newton Abbott community hospital. They were always friendly and helpful and went out of their way to provide first class treatment.

    I had reason to be concerned about a change in my breast and on Friday the 26th January, I called my GP, I saw him that afternoon and before I had even reached home, I was sent an appointment for the Breast Clinic for Tuesday 30th January at 9.30am. By 11.00am on the 30th, I had an examination, a mammogram, a scan and a meeting with the consultant, and the result. I am pleased to say I was given the all clear, but the swiftness of the service and examination was absolutely second to none. Well done to the whole team; you are definitely doing something right!!

    Despite the trauma of requiring an emergency admission to the cardiology unit, the care, kindness, expertise and professionalism show by all the staff we encountered at Torbay Hospital was exemplary. This together with the speed and efficiency of the team to deliver the treatment required was tremendous. Well done !

    I attended the ED when it was very busy, waiting room was pretty full. Despite this all staff were polite, friendly and professional, from the receptionist onwards. I have never received better treatment, and I've been in many hospitals as a patient, as well as previously working in the NHS in a clinical capacity for 21 years. For the 2 days I was in hospital everyone who dealt with me was warm, approachable, and despite being very busy they listened to me properly, explained their investigations ad thought processes, discussed investigations and treatment options with me, and reassured me. I have been in hospitals where the care, including my own treatment, organisation & communication was significantly worse. Communication and teamwork in this hospital appeared to be excellent. This is an indication the hospital in general has an excellent & healthy culture, with good effective leadership at all levels, and outstanding members of staff. In today's NHS, with the pressures the health service faces, and the burden placed upon all members of staff, this is no small feat. I was humbled and impressed by the care and kindness shown me, and I'm very grateful.

    I went in with chest pains and had blood taken, blood pressure measured and an ECG done. I went into the hospital at 7pm and on the board it said average time to be attended to was 1 hour 25 minutes. 6 hours later I realised maybe I wasn't a priority and thus decided not to leave and maybe I might seen to next time when I get a heart attack.
