    We carnt Thank All the staff Enough from A&e also ward 9 for looking after my mother who was very ill they explained everything about my mams illness The support from The Doctors to the Nursing staff Give yourself a Pat on your Back we are all Grateful from the Bottom of our Hearts my mam is still with us Excellent Hospital

    My GP referred me to Urgent Care because she suspected a dangerous DVT - within 15 minutes I was in the Unit, where they had already received the GP referral. Tests were carried out calmly and efficiently and the diagnosis was confirmed - scans were sent to the vascular specialists at the Freeman Hospital and they were happy that the appropriate medication would deal with the DVT. Amazingly snacks and drinks were brought round for both patients and companions during the rather lengthy day and everyone I saw was really supportive and very pleasant. Thank you everyone - once again the QE came up trumps for our family and I’m confident that things are improving and that the next scan will confirm that.

    Cannot fault the staff I came into contact with from doctors and all others down the chain of hard workers .on arrival iwas experiencing breathing problems and high temp and was quickly made to feel safe and relaxed until I could be moved onto a ward .when that happened I was placed in an assessment unit and given excellent treatment

    Day surgery in Peter Smith Surgery Centre (gynaecology). Highly impressed- excellent and very caring staff both clinical and non clinical. Note they have Investors in People award, well deserved. Felt valued and very well cared for as a patient. Great team, nice premises. Well done Gateshead Trust and especially to the gynae team for delivering great care

    My son was transferred from Rah in paisley to the ED at Queen Elizabeth. The ED team were great with him,putting him at ease and were very kind to him. Each nurse and doctor we dealt with were lovely and friendly. We were then transferred to ward 2c and again the staff, doctors and nurses there looked after my son so well. Each time we had a visit from the doctor they asked if we had any questions or concerns and kept me informed of what was going on . The nurses were so good with my son (6yrs old ) making jokes , making him feel included in the conversions about what was going on. I was offered food and drinks and told that we could help ourselves to drinks etc available . We had a room to ourselves and it was very nice and clean and quiet so managed to get some sleep while we were in. So a big thanks to all the staff that cared for us- you do a great job.

    Only turned up at A&E because 111 service told my wife to go immediately as there was a suspicion of a pulmonary blood clot. A Tuesday night at 22:45 not very busy at all. After assement and ECG taken, we were told there would be 11 hrs wait. Why were we made to wait all night until Emergency Day Care was open? Why not send us home for a few hours? But no, it was deemed beneficial for to sit for 8 hours in a cold waiting room until sun up. That was spiteful. The general public as well as health care professionals know about A&Es disgraceful reputation. I wonder if this sits okay with CQC. This department's managers need to know that this is compromising the good work that other departments are doing.

    Attended A&E with stomach pains . Was triaged by the nurse who had lack of communication and was not very helpful at all didn’t ask about my pain or anything . I was told by this nurse that I needed to see the GP and to go back to the waiting area . I assumed I’d have to wait to see the GP. When another nurse called with a appt time and said I had to come back , the first nurse didn’t explain this to me . I got an appt for a few hours later and the GP I seen was fantastic and really helpful with a lovely caring manner . Also the staff who were in the outpatient department were very helpful .

    My uncle was admitted just before Xmas following a fall in his care home, where he sustained a number of cuts & abrasions. He suffered from dementia and needed supervised care. The nursing/medical staff were sympathetic to his needs, and those of my aunt and cousin. During his stay his health deteriorated, so he was moved to a single room, where his immediate and close family could visit at anytime. The staff were compassionate and appreciated what a difficult time it was for the family. They updated us regularly and kept us well informed as to what would be happening and why. His care became palliative and the staff were caring and considerate at all times. The care that he received was outstanding, in particular, the team that cared for him during his final hours. They were so gentle and understanding, allowing us to spend his final hours together as a family. The family are so grateful for the compassionate care that he received, and will never forget this. This is NHS care at its best, from a team of staff who work extremely hard, but still manage to show empathy and consideration for others. Thank you

    After a battle for a referral into the paediatrics team it was a worthwhile experience. From nursing assistants/admin staff and all the nurses and doctor who seen my daughter made us feel all at ease. My daughter had the best experience and is telling everyone how brave she's been which wouldn't of been possible without the amazing care and attentiveness throughout the appointment. Reassurance for us parents was also great.

  10. Review titled Terrible Service

    My child has had stomach issues for a long time now finally got to see someone several months later as 2 previous appointments were cancelled one was the day before the appointment. Saw someone who said needed to do a scan to rule out anything, 5 months later still waiting for that. In the meantime our child is suffering in pain and having days off school. The Gp is no help said have to wait for Hospital to be in contact with appointments. It's a joke making children wait especially when it's affecting there daily lives.
