  1. Review titled A Day In The Country (from a Brightonian's Perspective)

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Maxine Latham - Posted on 15 May 2024

Day surgery for a lumpectomy couldn't have been more fun in the Hurstwood Park Centre. Professionalism and kindness in abundance. Everyone - nurses, student nurses, doctors and surgeons did their jobs brilliantly. Entered tredpidaciously and left on a high - and it wasn't just the morphine! Thanks all round.

I know it’s a cliche but genuinely the staff in Ward 4 could not have looked after me better. Night and day staff like were all so kind and always had a smile and a friendly greeting

  3. Review titled Friendly and knowledgeable

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a procedure that at a previous hospital had been very painful. The nurse and health care assistant put me at ease and undertook the procedure with miminal discomfort. The staff were lovely, helped me to relax and it was over with before I knew it. Thank you to all of the lovely and friendly staff on the department.

  4. Review titled Good luck parking

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Trixie - Posted on 15 April 2024

Had an x ray appointment booked this morning, arrived 30 mins early incase parking was bad... it was more than bad, tried three times taking 55 mins to try and find a space,, impossible!! Went in and out again of the entrance three times as you have 20 mins before being charged and it's a registration system... to make matters worse there are parking wardens there ticketing cars left right & centre, I had to drive 24 miles to find this out and to not be able to attend my appointment. Waste of time,

  5. Review titled 9 hour wait for 93 year old

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 April 2024

My 93 year old mother suffered a fall on 16th April and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Firstly I would like to praise the dedication and professionalism of the NHS staff and my comments no way reflect the excellent job which they do. My mother arrived at 3pm and we left at midnight - 9 hours in A and E - the time she spent with a doctor (Who was amazing) was 20 minutes and the time with a nurse (Equally Amazing) 20 minutes so 40 minutes for treatment and 8 hours 20 waiting on a Tuesday afternoon/evening, heaven knows what it is like at the weekend! if you have to go to A and E please prepare for a very long wait!

  7. Review titled Exemplary Care provided - 1 exception

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Matthew - Posted on 12 March 2024

We recently gave birth in Telford Hospital. The care we received for the majority of our time at Princess Royal Hospital, in both the delivery & postnatal units, was brilliant. All staff were extremely friendly, informative and ensured that we remained as calm as possible. They repeatedly ensured we understood all decisions were ours and that we were in control. Unfortunately, we believe a single member of staff displayed scaremongering tactics when questioned on potential risks of treatment. The most sever case of this was when our child required UV treatment for jaundice and we were concerned as to whether there was any risk to this treatment as things were moving fast. When the question 'are there any risks to blue light therapy' was raised, we were simply told 'the risk is if you don't have it, your baby might die'.

  8. Review titled Brilliant care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ruby Sparrow - Posted on 10 February 2024

Though waiting times could be long, I received the best care possible both in the waiting room and while being admitted. Waiting times cannot be helped but every single member of staff that cared for me was brilliant. I’m only young but have had to deal with many health complications in my life and I cannot fault this hospital for the quality of care given and the compassion shown towards their patients. I couldn’t have asked for better care and am sincerely grateful to be treated in this way.

  9. Review titled Professional, efficient, caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had an endoscopy on Saturday. Every member of staff, from my initial interview to my discharge was reassuring, informative and friendly. A potentially unpleasant procedure was made to feel as ‘good’ as it could be. Thank you very much.

My very nervous daughter had a blood test in the ocean room today. The lady who took the blood was so good, chatting away so that she barely noticed it was being taken. And really quick . The room Is also great. Fishes projected into the floor. Great service. Thank you
