Review titled Great treatment of fracture

My elderly mum fractured her ankle 3 weeks ago. We have been back to the fracture clinic every Friday since and the staff have been great. Although we have seen different consultants and doctors each time, everything has been efficiently done and the staff have been very informative and kind. Her plaster was put on perfectly- she has been comfortable and the bones are healing well. The only improvement I would suggest is consistency of information- the pharmacist in A and E gave contradictory advice to all of the doctors in the fracture clinic- he said she definitely didn’t need blood- thinning drugs because of her risk ‘score’ whereas she has now been told ( by every single doctor in the fracture clinic since) it could be a risk to life not to take them. So she is now taking these. Overall, a very positive experience of the fracture clinic staff.

Having had this horrible condition for 3 years I've had stressful encounters with other departments . The staff at the pelvic floor / colorectal team have been from my personal experience amazing . I had a saceral nerve stimulator fitted for a 2 week trial and never felt uncomfortable or embarassed and the level of understanding and professionalism was outstanding .

21st July, I underwent a Colonoscopy procedure at the Nottingham QMC Endoscopy department. Whilst I can’t mention names, I’d like to provide feedback to the wonderful people who looked after me so professionally today. What an amazing team! Everybody so focused on providing the best possible level of care, their happy smiling faces and genuinely interested demeanour, and the process in which I entered well managed end to end. The level of information and feedback I received on what was being done and why, throughout, was outstanding. All I can say is thank you! Thank you to a wonderful team, and to everyone who went above and beyond today to ensure this ‘worrying’ event was as good as it possibly could be… they even found time in their busy schedule to give me a cup of tea :)

I called 111 for advice as it was out of hours for my GP, within minutes a ambulance and two paramedics arrived, where I was taken to QMC, then transferred to the city hospital, I had a severe case of pneumonia, I spent just over a week on the Southwell ward, the nurses were the the most compassionate caring lovely people, I could not have been on a better ward. I want to thank them all, they deserve medals for their care. Kind regards

Considering all the troubles facing the NHS, I am blown away by the service and positive attitude that I have received from all those involved with my treatment and care. The latest surgical intervention was done with great skill and care, and even more so there was lots of fun during the surgery. It's actually hard to believe that the teams are able to remain so positive and determined to deliver a first-class service despite all the obstacles that they face. Please accept my grateful thanks for all your work on my behalf, it's so very humbling.

I had a Trapeziectomy on the first of February abd I can not thank every one involved enough the care and consideration I was shown by every member of staff I encountered including the surgeon was outstanding I was so well looked after before and after surgery had a follow up appointment with the nurse Physiotherapist and occupational therapist and again I was treated exceptionally The whole place is spotless clean and Maintianed

Having visited several times in recent years, I cannot rate the colorectal department and it's lovely staff, highly enough. My treatment has been thorough; sensitive and above all caring and compassionate, and I have been treated with respect throughout. have had my treatment and my choices, explained to me, every step of the way. This has made a frightening and uncertain situation much easy to handle, with the support and understanding of the wonderful staff in this department, in particular but across the whole NHS Nottingham Hospitals. 🙏

Thorough, professional and friendly service seeing doctors for wrist and elbow fracture and physio and cast. All of these, and the staff facilitating on the ward, to be commended on how they dealt with people on a busy day
