  1. Review titled Parking at Nightingale Exeter.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

My experience at the Ultrasound department today was outstandinge. I couldn’t be better pleased. Your staff were exemplary. What a pity my experience has been marred by unbelievable planning. Surely Parking is important. This particularly for ageing patients.

Went to the Nightingale for the first of 2 cataract operations, and couldn’t fault any aspect of the experience. Every member of staff was friendly, informative and very kind, and I would highly recommend the hospital. Thank you so much

  3. Review titled Parking-so poorly thought out!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I took my mum here for an outpatients appointment. This is an excellent family: clean, friendly and professional staff and first rate equipment. However, dropping off a patient who cannot walk unaided is a complete nightmare. The security staff were helpful and allowed us to park to drop off and I then had to go to outpatients to find a wheelchair and then go back to help my mum. My husband then had to move the car and come back later. This makes the whole process more stressful that it needs to be. It seems poorly thought out to have such inadequate parking (nothing for blue badge holders) when the demographic of patients visiting this facility is elderly. There is a park and ride option but clearly this is unsuitable for patients who cannot walk.

  4. Review titled First Class Experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had my first hip replacement surgery this week at the Nightingale and I can’t praise the whole experience enough. From entering reception to discharge, the atmosphere was professional, yet calm and relaxed. Any anxieties I had were quickly dispelled and I was treated with kindness, dignity and respect throughout. I knew exactly what was happening and what to expect. Several people were astonished that I would be discharged on the same day as my surgery, but I was well prepared and very happy to go home the same evening with everything organised for a smooth transition. There was no pressure to do so. If I or the staff had not felt I was ready, I would have had the opportunity to stay overnight. I can’t rate my experience more highly and would say to anyone waiting for surgery there - we are so lucky to have such a facility. Thank you to everyone involved from the receptionist and pre-op team to the nursing and surgery team.

  5. Review titled Fantastic practice

I would like to thank all staff on orthopaedics for your kindness and total dedication and respect shown to me during my stay. I was nervous but I was put at ease immediately on arrival, you are all a credit to your profession. I was so well looked after, before and after my procedure. We had no problems with the drop off point, the cleanliness of the hospital is 10/10, the staff are so well organised. Thankyou all

  6. Review titled So efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I parked at the park and change and caught the prompt shuttle bus to the hospital. So easy to find the right department and my scan was completed before my appointment time even started. Stepped outside to catch the shuttle bus back to my car. So easy!

  8. Review titled Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had no idea what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised with the standard of interior, equipment and facilities. Staff were friendly and cheerful, and I was very well informed about what was happening at every stage of surgery which I appreciated very much. Although as others have remarked there is no parking on site, the security officer was helpful and permitted someone to come in at the lower entrance in order to pick me up from the eye department after my operation. Altogether favourably impressed and would be happy to go to this hospital again.

  9. Review titled met security

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have an appointment soon so I turned up to see where I was going and what I was supposed to do. Met security. He was not rude but not that helpful. Job to do. Efficient. Definite. Certain. I thought I was at a prison perhaps. Was he armed? He told me I was at the wrong gate but I had looked and looked again after I left. No sign of any entrance gate. Just defence. Bit alarmed about my appointment. He did suggest that I was dropped off. I'm used to blue badge parking. And the National Health Service. Caring. Our caring National h s under pressure. I can see that the position of the hospital is well chosen - M 5, A 30 - but it left me scared. Not what I expected to say the least. Best of luck everybody. This is our National Health Service. Notice that I am not allowed to use "words that are all in capital letters" like n h s. J x
