  1. Review titled Perfect care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went in to the Liverpool Women's Hospital today for a hysteroscopy. As soon as I arrived on the admissions ward, I was warmly greeted by the staff then booked in. Soon after I had my consultation with the nurse, surgeon and anaesthetist. Everything was explained to me thoroughly, and I knew exactly what was going to happen and given opportunities to ask questions, which were answered honestly. Everybody who cared for me were so lovely. After the op the nurses looked after me so well. The surgeon came to see me soon after and reassured me that everything had gone well. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Well done to all involved in my visit to Liverpool Womens Hospital. Thank you.

  2. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My partner and I attended LWH for the birth of our first child in June 2022. We were struck by how caring, compassionate, approachable, reassuring and knowledgeable the entire team was. We went through various ups and downs during the admission but the whole team never failed to take time to reassure us and was always on hand during more difficult moments. They showed genuine concern and care as if they were treating their own relative and baby. It is a huge hospital and of course is tremendously busy as a result of its reputation - this can of course lead to waiting at times, but we were always kept up to date on the plan of action and the staff were wonderful even at 3am!

  3. Review titled Amazing care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went through something alone in this hospital which wasn’t pleasant but not a single staff member made me feel alone. Every single person was absolutely lovely! Every time I have been here I’ve been treated amazingly with such care. They are all fantastic and a credit to our NHS. I would recommend this hospital above other hospitals in the area as I’ve had negative experiences in others but not this one. All 3 departments I’ve visited have put me at ease. They are all fantastic and go above and beyond!

  4. Review titled Highly recommended

    by intensitytq37 - Posted on 23 June 2022

I had surgery at Liverpool women's hospital in June 2022 and stayed in the gynae ward for 3 days. I chose the women's over my local Wirral hospital due to poor care I experienced there and was so glad I did. The whole process and care I received at the women's was excellent. From checking in on the day of surgery, I met hcas, nurses, consultant, doctor and anaesthetist who all explained their role and what would happen. All were friendly and made me feel at ease, answering any questions I had and were honest about the process. The care I received on the ward afterwards was fantastic. The consultant and other surgeon visited me each day even at the weekend to check on my progress and explained everything that had happened in surgery and what to expect. The care from nurses on the ward was exceptional. I was treated as an individual and they worked hard to support me to get better and get home. All staff on the ward, both day and night, were caring and supportive. I would highly recommend the women's for any gynae issues.
