I came out of the Friarage on 7th October after my foot reconstruction surgery. The care that I received from the surgeon, anesthetist, nurses, physios and all other staff on Gara ward was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much. I left the hospital feeling confident that I could manage at home which I was really worried about as I have to be non weight bearing for 8 weeks. Thank you to everyone who looked after me. Your kindness and support has been much appreciated.

Really pleasant staff from the receptionist to the ward nurses. Put you at ease when having endoscopy procedure. Also seeing at first hand some of the most obnoxious patients they have to deal with and not loosing their patience with them. After moving from a city hospital the Friarage is a lovely friendly hospital.

I had a blood test last week and a CT scan two days ago. I came to the hospital for my blood test results which turned out to show nothing. The CT scan results were not back yet. I waited an hour to be seen and numerous people arrived after me but were seen before me. I live an hour's drive away so altogether I've wasted over 3 hours just to be told nothing. The blood test results show nothing and the CT scan results aren't back yet. I don't have the time or the money to waste on driving for 2 hours and sitting around for over an hour waiting when all I'm told in the end is that the results show nothing. It would take seconds to tell me that over the phone. With the current cost of living crisis I would really appreciate it if the staff at The Friarage could consider that some people just don't have money to throw away on pointless trips to the hospital to be told essentially nothing.

I had to see the gynaecology department today, and was a little nervous. All the staff from receptionist to a range of nurses & specialists were fantastic. They explained everything and put my mind at rest. All so kind and calming. I cannot rate them highly enough, I have to come back for another procedure, but I know I’m in good hands and am throughly confident of their professionalism. Thank you so much!
