  2. Review titled Blood test

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Juliet Mill - Posted on 22 April 2024

I attended my blood test which I booked through swiftqueue, my doctor had referred me. When I go there the nurse said they was no request for me. She then talked me through what to do, she said pop into the waiting room and call your surgery and find out if they can do anything and she would make sure if they sent it all through she would fit me in, I thought this was such a nice gesture for her to do. So I rang the surgery and found out the doctor had unfortunately not sent through the request. After being on the phone with them for about 25 mins, they managed to send the info down for me to have my bloods done. The nurse was amazing she kept a check on me to see what was happening and reassured me that they would be able to send it down once we had established what happened at the surgery. She then took me in to complete my blood test and I just wanted to see what a lovely, kind thoughtful young lady she was, going above to make sure I didn’t have to come back again and I went away very happy due to your nurse . I think people need to be acknowledged when they do the job well, but also have the caring attitude your nurse did, so thank you. I know I’m not allowed to name the person, but my appointment was at 4.20 on Monday 22nd April, I’m sure you can find the young lady that assisted me so she can get the recognition she deserves.

  3. Review titled Great ent department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sue Sweeney - Posted on 11 March 2024

Referred by St Peter’s utc & my GP following problems after bad nosebleed’s & cauterisation. Very nice reception staff & I was seen on time. The department was clean and nicely set out. The ent doctor settled me down as I was nervous about the endoscopy which was less uncomfortable than I had imagined. She reassured me about my sinuses & the at home regime she recommended has already shown results. I was very happy at the way I was treated here

For anyone considering eye injections, the thought can be worrying. On my first ever visit they talked me through the process before as it proceeded very carefully and in a soothing manner Subsequently on on any occasion they have noticed any nervous behaviour they have immediately stepped up to soothe me - excellent

I have had to attend at Ashford Hospital Maxi facial department for sleep apnoea treatment. I have never found something health wise to be so efficient and straight forward! The staff are excellent, I was seen so quickly and not left waiting for my appointment. I was updated on the progress of treatment, given very clear, very sympathetic treatment plan and guidance. Thank you so very much !

  9. Review titled Great practice

I can’t explain my appreciation enough for the nurses who helped me over the 2 days I was in the gynaecology ward. They knew I was scared so did what they could to make me feel more comfortable. They were such genuinely nice people and always kept me informed with what was going on, from the nurses who did the scans, to the ones who looked after me in my bed during the day. I was really lucky to have such kind and caring people look after me when I needed it.

  10. Review titled Kindness, compassion, care, speedy service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 June 2023

I have left this review here, despite my daughter having been treated at both St. Peters and Ashford Hospital. My daughter has been experiencing episodes where she has been passing out - she has been seen at a&e in St Peter’s, and the paediatrics team at both hospitals, and now the neurology team at both. I work closely with children’s therapy services, so I get to hear first hand, some of the sad stories of staff struggles waiting lists, lack of funding and quite simply not enough hours in the day to provide the care they desperately want to show to children across the country. While these are very real situations, our experience so far with all the staff we have had contact with, has been professional, kind, compassionate and nothing short of amazing. My daughter is autistic, and everyone just seems to establish a brilliant rapport with her - explaining what they’re doing, using appropriate language and humour, helping her understand everything that is going on all the time. It’s made the world of difference for her and ultimately for me. Blood tests, being hooked up to wires, scans, x-rays and all sorts, all have been conducted with my daughter at the very centre of their care. It has been an extremely worrying time for us, but we have felt wrapped up, reassured and cared for every step of the way. Even in terms of responding to my emails - asking for appointments to be moved or trying to get to see someone sooner. I am eternally grateful to all your efforts and accommodations and amid all the complaints and criticism in the media - you are doing a fabulous job in some very tough times and it is helping my daughter manage the issues she’s going through right now. Thank you.
