  1. Review titled Fabulous paramedics and student

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dippy Debs - Posted on 22 May 2024

The student paramedic who attended with two fully qualified paramedics has a fabulous bedside manner, was very knowledgeable and professional. The two paramedics with him were very encouraging and informative - they came across as wonderful mentors. All three of them eased our anxiety and were very thorough in their investigation. I was also very impressed that they were reluctant to tread on my pale grey rug in case they dirtied it! All three were absolutely fantastic.

  2. Review titled Amazing Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I would like to say a massive thank you to the 3 paramedics (1 was a student) that came to collect me for a transfer from 1 hospital to another. I had undergone surgery and they thought when I woke up from my GA that I had, had a TIA, so phoned for an ambulance as the hospital I was at wasn't equipped for this. They turned up so quick and was so lovely, i was an absolute nervous wreck, I had just had surgery to have my cancer removed, and if anyone has had a GA, you are so not with it, to find I couldn't move the right hand side of my body, which was frightening. They were so professional, caring and compassionate, they really are a credit to the team. The 1 paramedic actually came back to see me a few hours later to see how I was. At that point I knew I thankfully hadn't had a stroke, but sadly later that evening I was diagnosed with a sphenoid meningioma, which is a brain tumor, which has just been a huge shock, with all I have been going through with my diagnosis for my cancer treatment, now this, it's been hard to deal with. But I knew I had to send a message, and wasn't sure who to contact, as I really wanted all 3 of them to know how grateful I was to them for there kindness.

  5. Review titled Brilliant service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jill Ansell - Posted on 21 April 2024

During the early hours of Wednesday 17th April I unfortunately had to call the emergency service due to my husband having a number of seizures. The operator at the control centre was truely brilliant and kept me calm. The crew arrived and again they were fantastic with my husband who was so confused and just wanted to sleep. He was taken to Russell’s Hall emergency department and I followed shortly afterwards. I would like to thank them so very much for their professionalism. Unfortunately I cannot recall any names. Likewise with the staff in an and e, the radiographers and the staff on ward c8. my husband has had outstanding care from all involved in every department and was discharged a few days later with follow-up appointment and a change to his medication.

Have had to call out ambulance twice for husband in last year and had the same crew from local Donnington ambulance station Really patient and caring, couldn't do enough for us both at home on their arrival and when we arrived at PRH Telford.

  8. Review titled Commendation for the Team in Ambulance Cy4819 (05/03/2024)

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 April 2024

At 4:30am on the 5th of March 2024, I woke up with pain in my chest and breathing difficulty. I recently had pleural effusion which I had been given medication for, so I believed it was sorted. Quite worried, I called 999 immediately and ambulance Cy4819 arrived at my home before 5am. The ambulance service team were so professional, cheerful and very empathetic. They checked my vitals which were fine, but when they listened to my lungs, they had some concerns and advised I let them take me to the hospital. I was very reluctant about going to a&e again, due to a recent experience that was so physically and emotionally draining for me, but I agreed eventually. The ride to the hospital was pleasant, as they person who sat next to me in the ambulance kept talking to me and this distracted me from the discomfort and anxiety I was feeling. When we got to a&e, they got me to sit in an isolated area and had me registered. I felt really cared for and was so grateful. Didn't get the chance to really thank them before they left. I am happy they insisted that I need to go to the hospital, as it was detected that I still had fluid in my lungs and also an infection... which led to a difficult battle as an inpatient in hospital for a couple of weeks. I am out of hospital now and have had good time to recover. So, to the team in Cy4819 working in the early hours of the 5th of March, I just want to say a big Thank You!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The nurse who came to discuss the Eraser Trail was empathetic but clear in explaing the program. In the end it turned out I was unsuitable but I appreciated her care.
