I transferred to the practice and a few days later needed to see a GP. I telephoned at 08.00 to hear a message saying that I was , I think it was nineteenth in the queue, but if I Pressed 1 someone would call me back. I assumed that would take ages, but about fifteen minutes later it happened and the Receptionist, who was very polite and helpful took details and shortly after I received a call back offering me an appointment that same afternoon. The doctor that I saw was friendly and very professional and set in train a potential solution to my problem. This created an excellent first impression of the Surgery and its staff.

Had an appointment today booked in at 1640hrs. I expect people to stick to appointment times as I hate people being late in my business, just as I like to turn up bang on time for appointments. Kept waiting for 45 minutes and realised that at 1725hrs I was going to miss my next appointment to make a delivery for one of my business customers. In the end, I walked out and did not get the treatment I urgently needed. What is the point in making appointments well in advance if Westover Surgery cannot keep to those appointment times or notify you if they are running late? Some common courtesy would be helpful. I will now change my doctor / surgery to someplace else that operates with more professionalism. First doctors appointment in at least 10 years - I expect a higher standard of care than this!

Sent the surgery a message in the morning via the NHS app. received a phone call just after 12 from the duty doctor on the same day, offering an appointment the same day. Not sure you can ask for more than that.

Disappointing having to go to the GP to feel like there is genuinely no care over any issues. Time and time again for myself and my family we are made to feel like we are rushed in and out or not even properly cared too. You go to the GP for some reassurance and check ups to make sure you are okay as that’s the first place you go, having to ask multiple times to check more thoroughly or actually explain what it could be instead of reading what things “could” be from google.

I signed on as a temporary resident and found the reception staff friendly and helpful, the doctor telephoned a short while after as promised and organised a prescription to be collected at the chemist of my choice. Knowing what the NHS staff have been through in the pandemic I think it’s out of order for anyone to complain about this surgery, patients should show respect to the staff. To be polite does not cost anything. Thank you Westover surgery.

Short notice appointment via phone with GP. After which a face to face was arranged within the hour. The interview / examination was precise and clear and the Dr was direct in what was to follow. Every thing he agreed with me happened in an incredible small timescale and even the person text with results made me feel important and valued. I struggle to reconcile with people who have bad experiences. All mine have been positive and the Dr and practice are really great. I will not be changing that is for sure. I know I cannot name an individual Dr but my experience is they are all great
