My mum has called the reception to get an appointment at 8:am and they had said it was fully booked and to call the following day. She calls the following day, tries for 30 mins to call, the reception again but the calls were not getting through, Finally after 45 minutes the reception replies that she can't give more appointments for the day and to call tomorrow, at that point my mum gets frustrated and says that she has a bad side effect from the new diabetic medicine prescribed by the doctor and she and that she has been to Walking center, where they suggested to contact the GP. When all this was said to the receptionist the respomse was "there's nothing she can do", all my mum needed was 5 minutes with the doctor, did not matter if it was on phone or in person at the surgery, to get her medicine changed. My mums condition keeps getting worse, the receptionist could only say repeatedly "call tomorrow" an "there's nothing I can do". I think the staff should care more and be more considerate about their patients, specially if they are having sever side effects from a medicine prescribed by the doctor of the medical centre. And if it is a continuous problem not having appointments then the practice should change its ways to accommodate more patients.

used the econsultation service, was called back within a few hours polite receptionist advised would refer me to chemist requested i would prefer to speak to my GP, not a problem got GP to call me within 2 hrs, all sorted, excellent service
