I joined this practice around 3 years ago and I have always been treated with respect from the receptionists, the have always been lovely and go above and beyond to help with prescriptions etc up to March of this year I haven't had to see a doctor and from me phoning reception to explain my symptoms I was given an appointment within 48hrs I then saw my Doctor at my appointment I was told they were referring me for a scan which I received with 24hrs and had my scan a few days later I was then referred to Gynea at Salford Royal Hospital and I had my appointment and Biopsy a few days later and within 10 days I got my results so within a couple of weeks my problem was sorted and if it wasn't for the speedy way Walkden Medical Centre treated me and my condition I would still be sat home worrying myself sick so a massive Thank you to the doctor and the girls behind the reception desk ! I know what they go through with the great British public as I work with public also and know how stressful it can be ! They need medals ! 🏅 so big Thank you to you all at Walkden Medical Centre ❤️

Had a great first experience at this practice, everyone was helpful, friendly and informative. Came with my newborn and reception staff were so helpful in holding doors open, explaining the appointment et. the little things make such a big difference when dealing with vulnerable people and the staff here understand that. Huge thanks to everyone working here, GP, nurses and reception staff.

Mental health issues being ignored.ran out of my prescription two months ago and i was supposed to get a phone call for a review of my medication. Next time i have an episode and want help i will go to a&e instead. Atleast that way my mental health issues will be taken seriously.

Reception staff expect to be treated with respect, however they talk to patients as if they are an inconvenience. They have an attitude of over importance and superiority. I was waiting for a prescription for medication originally missed off a prescription and was made to wait an extraordinary amount of time whilst the receptionist on duty at 1700 hrs on Tuesday 8th May would rather talk on the phone than do there job. very rude staff.

I have been going to this surgery for nearly 3 years since moving to the areas I can honestly say as someone who long term health issues its the worst surgery I've ever been to when it comes to receptionists and some of the communication from drs I can tell u five different horrible experiences I've had here because of rude abrupt unhelpful unkind receptionists who have got information wrong, made it very difficult to get medication I've needed for long term health issues and a double transplant I've had they make me feel anxious and emotional due to there non empathetic staff on reception and don't listen so I have repeat myself and go through alot of private and health issues with them , they refuse to help me with getting equipment and medication I've needed and honestly I've had to leave because they put my health at risk and made my time at this surgery terrible I have complained to the practice manager who is lovely but the receptionists are so unhelpful abrupt and rude
