Sadly over the last 3 years the standard has dropped significantly at Unity Health. It is impossible to get a telephone appointment let alone see a doctor face to face. All appointments are booked by 8:45am when the phone lines only open at 8:30am. How is this possible when it takes 10 minutes to answer 3 calls? The receptionists are fielding calls and are under so much pressure it is simply unfair. They are not medically trained so should not be making decisions as to whether patients are sick enough to see a doctor. GP’s are on annual leave more than they are in the surgery. It is unacceptable.
