Attend for a blood test.Nurse asks why are you here i tell her and she says she thought it was for somthing else? Then tells me because i am on a certain tablet she cant do it;when i say i am not on that she says the records show different bye????

Go to the hospital for tests they recommend 2 tablets. Go to the chemist for a different prescription and he says we have one here thats been here for 3/4 weeks?? I get it and find its the one recommended by the hospital !! So the staff at Thursby etc had prescribed it but neglected to tell me ????? if i hadnt gone for another reason i would nt have known !!!!! incompetence and arrogance beyong belief.

here's one. surgery phoned me flogging statins said do you want them yes or no? Is aid why?so could i talk to someone?? admin boss said can you come in tomorrow and have a blood test? . when the day came and i went through rain and taxi and the receptionist said your not booked in ?and also no nurse on duty?? it is a day later ???? 2 hours later get a text about if i want to cancel my appointment!!!! bizarre place incompetent admin and no doctors .

all i ever receive from this place is spam invites for henna painting etc phoned for my jab i receive every 12 weeks and i was told full up cant have it!i said i need it on the date admin said can i not get it online !!!!!!!! unreal surgery .none existent compassion but they love their henna parties.

Rang up for my daughter due to her having serious throat & mouth infection and the lady at the reception turns round and says we have no appointments you need to take her to hospital, i said why shall i take her to hospital when she has her own GP practice. This place might aswell shut down, absolutely ridiculous.

Today I spent over an hour as "first in queue", my partner rang after the hour and was put through within five minutes while I was told for the sixty-somethingth time I was "first in queue". Having read other reviews I know this is the way this practice treats its patients now... This used to be a good practise, I know because I have been using it since birth, almost sixty years ago

Unsure how Thursby Surgery has so many 5 star reviews as over the past 8 years i have found it to be one of the worst! Wait times on the phone is probably the worst thing about the surgery however when you do eventually get through the staff attitude and general inability to assist is awful. The surgery policies are ridiculous too. Appointments can only be booked for that day. If you require an appointment for another day you have to start ringing from 8.30am that day. As an example i took a morning off work to get an appointment booked. Waited over 40 minutes only to be told the appointments were all booked and to ring again after lunch. Same thing after lunch. No appointments available. Wasted a day off work just to get no further. Policy needs to change. Yes covid restrictions changed a lot but staff attitude and policy needs amending to cater for your patients.

We have upgraded the telephone system which enables better access however we receive on average 8,500 calls a month and over 450 calls a day. The reception staff do their very best to answer as many as they can and we have introduced the call back function when the queue gets above 15 which will hold your position in the queue, or you can use the online triage consultation via our website if appropriate. I am 75 years of age and have been with this surgery all my life since birth. I have always had excellent service from receptionist, nurses and doctors. My partner transferred to Thursby approximately 12/15 months ago and she can’t believe how good they are compared to her previous experiences!!
