    Recently had a problem with my eye. Heard back a couple of hours after filling out the appointment form. My problem was resolved quickly and smoothly. Can't complain as everything went perfectly.

    I had another consultation with a GP today regarding an on-going problem. As always I was delighted with the quality of the advice and support I received, and by the pleasant way in which I was addressed. Knowing the pressures faced by the service, the work of the folks in this practice is inspirational.

    Minimal waiting time .. very clean and tidy clinic .. the doctor handled my case with great concern and in a professional way … I felt I am in good hands ..

    Really good GP, online service is great easy to use. Contacted through a call same day and if face to face needed you will get an appointment. Seen on time. Drs are nice and friendly, easy to speak to. Love how you can send videos or pictures of the issue and the 4 hour SLA is amazing. Other Drs need to follow this GP practice as its one of the best. Easy to get repeat prescriptions and appointments.

    I spoke with a GP yesterday concerning a swelling on my hand and was told to get back today if the swelling worsened and could be prescribed antibiotics. The problem worsened and I got in touch only to be told nobody could speak to me due to staff shortages. Being Friday today I now have to wait until at least Monday to get my problem addressed. Not happy.

    Dear Mr Gallagher, I appreciate you taking the time to leave the review. I can see that you were able to make an appointment on 9th February, first of all via telephone and then in person. We hope this resolved your issue on the day. We did experience a very high and unexpected absence rate of staff that day which was beyond our control. In these circumstances we will text our patients advising that if they have an urgent medical issue to either call 111 or attend an NHS walk-in centre.     Fantastic experience, filled in appointment request form the night before online. An appointment was then arranged for me for 3pm the next day. GP was very professional and dealt with my issue fantastically, referred me to the relevant department. Staff at Robert Darbishire are doing a fantastic job, well done everyone

    I recently had to cancel my holiday to Iceland following a fall. The admin lady who dealt with me regarding my insurance claim was really helpful and supportive as I had to complete the process on line and not really tech savvy. She arranged for a telephone appointment for the Dr to complete the form and all ran smoothly. The Dr's who treated me after my fall were excellent, I got a face to face appointment due to a swollen leg and same day referral to Manchester Royal Infirmary Care Unit as I may have had a deep vein thrombosis and had treatment that day and a scan on the following day. In all my dealings with the Robert Darbishire Practice since becoming a patient in 2016 have always been with the exemplary.

    Before I moved to Manchester and changed my gp practice I don’t think I ever had a good experience going to the doctors. When I was concerned about something it was always such a struggle for me to get sorted as I had to ring at 8am on my day off and it was so hard to get an appointment I was always never listened to which made me feel anxious about asking for help. The Robert Derbyshire Practice has completely changed my outlook on accessing gp services, It is so much easier, filling a form in anytime of the day meaning I don’t have to wake up extra early and stay on hold for hours on my day off, I feel listened to and they don’t make me have to come in for an appointment if they don’t think it’s necessary and can diagnose my symptoms over the phone which is much easier as it’s like an online appointment which saves time for me and them. It also frees up space for people who actually do need to be seen in person for more serious matters. Yesterday I was in placement as I am a student and don’t have much free time I was able to fill the form in on my break and pick antibiotics up on my lunch which meant I didn’t have to take a day off to go to the doctors the person I spoke with on the phone was very helpful finding a pharmacy near my placement so I could start my treatment right away. This is probably the best experience I have ever had with a gp and I am extremely grateful for how thoughtful and considerate she was with me. I would highly recommend this gp surgery to any other students who are asking or looking for a new one.
