    Hi I have been at this pracotice over 20 years and have had the best care from anyone I could wish for from physical health to mental health nothing as been too much trouble for these drs nurses and staff thank you so much

    Make sure you read all rmails sent by this practice. I verbally arranged an appointment for a diabetes check on the 8.9.23 at 16.20 with the reception staff. It had to be after 4pm as I was working that day. I am in the habit of immediately writing appointments into my pocket diary and have done so for decades. They sent me confirmation emails which I did not read. The date was in my diary. I turned up to the surgery on the hottest day of the year after a busy day to be told that I was late for my appointment. I checked my diary and nope, I was 10 minutes early. The receptionist told me to check my email, which said the appointment was at 15.50 ... 10 minutes before I finish work. Why would I have arranged that? I asked to wait to be seen and was told I would have to get another appointment. I was already feeling unwell due to the heat and was very cross at being messed around and made out to be a liar. I asked to wait and was told I would have to reschedule. I declined as I needed to get out of the heat asap. I have just received an email saying that I did not attend my appointment (not true, I was late at worst and told I could not wait). I have been threatened with removal by the practice if I am late again, so I am now too scared to make an appointment in case they change the time again. This has completely crushed my confidence in this practice.

    Dear Mr Coppinger We would like to thank you for bringing your concerns to us, as a practice we have reflected on your complaint, consultation, our performance and best practice triggers. We understand from your complaint that you had an appointment booked for 08 September 2023, which you attended. We can see that you were informed that you had missed this appointment as it had been booked for 3:50pm. We note from your complaint that you believe your appointment was booked for 4:20pm as you had written it in your diary. We are sorry if the service you received did not meet your expectations as this was never our intention. We can confirm that we have carried out a thorough investigation into the issues you have raised. As part of this investigation, we have listened to the telephone call you made on 18 August 2023, to book this appointment. During this telephone call, you were offered an option of two appointment times, one for 3:50 and one for 4:20. We can confirm that we could hear you accept the 3:50 slot. As part of the appointment booking process, we also sent you a confirmation SMS with the appointment details. We would like to assure you that we did not change your appointment time. We are sorry for any distress caused to you. We can understand that errors can be made by anyone, and we can assure you that we did not intend to accuse you of lying. We send Did Not Attend appointment SMS reminders to patients who have been highlighted as having missed an appointment. These messages are a part of our practice’s policy to remind patients of the importance of not missing appointments. We are sorry that this SMS has caused you distress.     Rude receptionists, unhelpful not caring call for help wait in the que for 40minutes to be told at 8:50am no more doctors appointments left and to callback next morning and the same happens then one of the illiterate receptionist come in to the surgery in the morning tomorrow and will give an appointment. THIS surgery is a joke not suitable for babies or patients with health issues
