    Surgery. operates a telephone triage system; you phone the surgery between 08:00 and 10:00, to try to get a Doctor to call you back for 'Urgent' matters. I've not been able to arrange a routine appointment (other than covid inoculation) for 10-years. You are required to disclose your personal medical problems to the receptionist (In public if you visit the surgery) or the Doctor will not consider your call 'Urgent'. This is intrusive and unethical - a breach of Patient confidentiality. Today I waited for 45 minutes as "Caller No. 3" and was not answered. In that time I drove to the surgery - no phones were ringing, just one receptionist on duty. She told me that, at that time, there were 48 other patients "On hold" waiting to speak with someone, to make an appointment, let alone get a diagnosis. The 'service' at this surgery is appalling, it is impossible to get an appointment and you are forced to go and wait in A&E for anything beyond an "it can wait..." issue. The Doctors are ok, if you can get to speak with one. Feels like a 3rd-world health service.

    I was on the phone for 40 minutes on Friday, I have now been on the phone for over an hour on Monday. Both times I am number 1 in the queue!! when i speak to the receptionists it takes me less than 2 minutes, so how can this be!! This has to be the worst surgery in the country!!

    Struggle to find the words to express how appalling this practice is! The receptionist staff need to be retrained, have personality transplants or just be fired and replaced. They are incapable of answering the phones, I’ve been on hold for a total of 3 hours trying to get hold of a doctor after struggling with pain. I have been caller one for over 50mins so I struggle to understand what the staff are doing that takes them so long to answer the phone- or are they just lazy as well as rude and unprofessional? Where is the duty of care for the patients? I’m appalled and angry! Impossible to get an appointment! This is not okay!

    Not only can you struggle to get a face to face you even struggle to talk to reception to get a phone consultation resulting in over a hour on hold as caller number one. Also you call fested surgery to be passed to great dunmow branch. The whole team and service needs a major over hall I my opinion. It doesn't instill confidence in the service

    I have now spent approximately 4+ hours in a queue over the past 8 days. I was caller number one for 25 minutes before I had to hang up as I had to work. I appreciate all aspects of healthcare; being busy and demands. However, this is now beyond horrendous. I have never had this problem before and I cannot understand why it is so bad. When I rang and was told I was caller number 8 I just hung up!

    Felsted Surgery has greatly changed since 2019 to this day. Found staff can be unhelpful, hostile and made errors both in pharmacy and admin without any apology. Appointments are difficult to come by especially F2F and you could be waiting ages on the phone even though you maybe caller No. 1. Unsure, if the surgery makes money delaying pick ups and the long message from the operator advising what to do. The surgery needs to improve with immediate effect as confidence with them is simply slipping away!

    I have nerves had any issues for the any of the GPs. The receptionist on the other hand think that they are bouncers. Have asked them a question to be told rudely that they its not possible (dispute a GP note saying it is). And have had the similar problem sorted 4 mouths earlier by a GP.

    I'm currently writing this whilst waiting for the phone to be answered ... I don't know what has happened to this surgery but the service levels have dropped off severely. Not with the doctors, but with the process of even trying to get to see or speak with the doctor. (current phone time is at 9mins and still holding ..) It seems almost impossible to speak to someone anymore .. It is almost like they are not willing to move on from Covid, (one of the only places I know where masks are still required ??) Very dissatisfied with the reception service compared with what it used to be like pre covid. It used to be a really nice local surgery with that personal touch. Not any more (still on hold by the way - now 13 mins..) It takes a lot for me to put pen to paper so to speak but this is getting beyond the pale .. I don't wonder why A&E is struggling when you can't get through to the local surgery. Easier to just go to A&E ! Please sort this out and get back to the levels of service that you used to provide !! (Now 15mins on hold and not even changed waiting position ?? ) Shocking !!
