  1. Review titled helpless staff in the reception

    It is literary impossible to book an appointment in The Arch Medical Practice. If you ask for an appointment in the reception the answer is "book it in the app". If you open the app there is a written "contact your GP" If you call your GP the answer is "We can't book an appointment for you today. Call tomorrow at 8 am. When you do so, the line is busy. After a long time of waiting or calling many times until there is an answer You receive the same info as the day before or they say come to reception tomorrow morning. And the round starts again. It is a never-ending story when you can never have an appointment. The worst is receptionists feel free to say "You do not need an appointment" or even cancel it when you do have some booked by your doctor and say we canceled it because you do not need it.

    Thank you to the two members of staff I spoke with today regarding an issue on the system, both were very attentive and kind. The first member of staff was patient and prompt in identifying how to resolve the issue, which had flagged up on the system, and transferred the call to the relevant person. The second member of staff was polite, honest, caring and efficient. Both members of staff were able to put me at ease, despite me being incredibly stressed out, and identify/action a resolve to the situation. This medical practice is brilliant and I would highly recommend them to any patient seeking to receive a person centred approach to care.

    I would like to thank the team at The Arch Medical Practice for making such a quick referral for me. Just six days after my GP appointment I received a letter and notification confirming my referral, which is much appreciated. All of my experiences with the practice have been very positive, thank you.

    My daughter is attending uni in Manchester and has been quite poorly recently - registered with the Arch medical practice and has received excellent care on the two occasions she has needed help and TLC. The reception staff have been super helpful and caring and the two GPS she has met have gone above and beyond, providing very expert care and taken their time despite the business of the day - very grateful to know that she is in good hands despite being far away from home - Thank you

    Dear Anonymous Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful review. I am aware that you also e-mailed in to the Practice to express your thanks which I shared with our Practice team. A significant amount of our patients are students and we understand how difficult it can be for our student population to be away from home, potentially for the first time, which is why we always try to provide a welcoming and easily accessible service.     All the staff whom my relative and I have encountered at this practice have been attentive, kind and passionate in their care towards us. I find this practice to be brilliant because it is full of responsive and pro-active staff who go above and beyond for their patients. I would highly recommend this practice to any one looking for a place to register. I wish to say thank to all the staff, keep up the good work.

    It’s not often I need my GP but when I do the staff are always really helpful, the GPS in general have always addressed my health in a fair and respectable manner. Thank you!!

    I rang up this morning and was given a face to face appointment within 3hrs. Arrived at the surgery in good time and had my appointment on time with a great doctor. The NHS have received some bad press recently for getting doctors appointments, can only comment on my experience and that has been excellent - what ever the Arch Medical team are doing at the moment …. Keep it up, excellent service and cannot recommend enough. Well done.

    I have been with the arch medical practice for almost 19 years now. although my previous gp retired, however of recent the gp who attended to me offered great service. he was approachable and explained in detail of what he was going to do. He went all out of his way that I got the appointments, I needed as my health situation had been lingering on for almost 2years, due to covid-19. as a health profession myself, I was grateful that I finally could book appointments on my day off, as it is extremely had with my busy life. The receptionist, were also approachable. The practice is more welcoming.

    I feel a little lost at the moment as the receptionist keeps telling me to go to a walk in centre or a pharmacist as I didn’t call at 8am. The walk in centre is confused and have told me I need to see a GP which you can’t do unless your lucky and call them exactly at 8am in the morning, if not you’ll have to try again tomorrow. The receptionist is rude and unhelpful but feel it’s a problem with poor management rather than solely the receptionist team. I just needed an eye infection checked out but think I’ll be stuck with it for another month. Terrible managed and a waste of time and space, convinced it’s a scam.

    I am supposed to have a simple injection every 3 months due to a medical condition. Never had an issue with this until the last 3-4 times. Nurses either refusing to do it on the day, or prescriptions for the medication not even being sent in the first place. I went to my local pharaoh to pick up the medication only to be told that they never received any prescriptions from the practice. I then phoned the practice and was told the medication was already there. I get there on time to then be told that actually it’s not and the pharmacy next door has it. But no, it doesn’t have it (what it does have is extremely rude staff, however). What an absolute joke. At least I managed to get the prescription from them so at least this time I will actually get my medication and will sadly have to try and administer it myself, which isn’t safe but it’s definitely better than relying on this joke of a practice.

We are sorry to learn of your experiences in trying to receive your 3 monthly injection for the last 3 or 4 times. We would like to investigate your issues fully but we are unable to do this as we are unable to extract the full details from the information in your review.
