I called to check if I can get a routine blood check up, the person on the other side of the phone was very rude. Since my doctor in my country asked me to do blood work every six months, I asked her if I can do that. Her words were" you need to be referred by a GP here and we cant go to your country and ask for his referral". I found it to be very rude. There are ways to deliver a message. I am an international student and If I am wrong about something that's because I don't know about it. She could have just said that, in a much polite way. We have paid fees for our health insurance. It's not that we already asking to do health check up for free. I felt really bad about how I was told to have a referral.
