    Been with svhc since childhood, staff and doctors are lovely! Though that said, sadly the system in place for appointments is horrendous!!. I work very unsociable hours and need to see a doc for a repeat prescription as they will not give me them without seeing one. I rang at 8am this morning 165 times before I got through at 8:40 to be in a queue of 9 and then told no appointments left when I got to speak to reception! I am now in work for rest of week 07:30/19:30 and have 4 tablets left! Surely for working people there should be another system we can use to book appointments in advance on our rest days?! Please help with this.

    I have nothing but respect for this practice, they all work hard, specially at times like this, were it is hard for everyone, they are under staffed and paid and still do everything they can for all their patients

    This is the doctors I have been with since a child, however the service over the past 10 years has declined dramatically. You can never get an appointment, told to ring at 8am on the day to get an app and you will have to call on average 20-30 times before you get held in line to get an app. Most of the time by the time you get through no apps will be left. I understand that since Covid they have struggled, however this does not seem to be improving, if anything it is getting worse. Everyone i speak to has only negative things to say about it as a whole. The doctors are normally very friendly and helpful once you get an appointment, however the whole process is a joke. This is a big doctors surgery, you would expect them to have many doctors, however the impression I get is that they have very few doctors. I could see online that they are accepting new patients which I think is a joke considering the appointments run out by 8:15 every morning. The people who answer the phones may have a stressful job due to the lack of appointments available, however the way some of them speak to you on the phone is shocking. I understand that the appointments run out and they cant do anything about that, however I have had numerous experiences when they are very rude to you for no reason or for asking a question. The app which lets you request repeat prescriptions is very useful, however if you order a day early they will reject the request. I am surprised that no reviews are online so I thought only fair to warn any new potential patients.
