    When u tried to book a appointment the receptionist said you will have to fill a form online. I replied I don't have access to the Internet and she huffed and nearly blew me away. These receptionist just don't want to do anything.

Our admin team are extremely busy each day, but we pride ourselves on being polite, courteous and helpful to our patients.     Contacted GP practice due to UTI symptoms end of November, handed in sample and given phone advice from receptionist to drink plenty. Symptoms continued despite antibiotics so contacted practice again. I wasn’t able to talk to a nurse or doctor but was told to put in another sample. My antibiotics were changed because I was resistant to first ones, but symptoms continued, so submitted a second sample. Test result on app showed infection resistant to current antibiotic, so contacted practice again. Receptionist told me I was on the right medication and that symptoms would settle. I was worried because practice was closing for Xmas but was told to put in another sample and wait for result. UTI symptoms continued and I felt generally unwell. Nurse phoned the week later when practice reopened, and told me that I needed different antibiotics because I was resistant to the previous ones. I told nurse that I’d spoken to receptionist before Xmas and was told that I’d misread the app. Nurse confirmed that I hadn’t misread the app test result and I should have been given different antibiotics before Xmas. I told her that I’d had symptoms for over four weeks and hadn’t seen anyone for a face to face appointment, she told me that if symptoms didn’t improve with third antibiotics I’d be offered an appointment to see someone. Why did the receptionist give me incorrect information? Why, when I’ve asked to see someone to discuss my symptoms, did the receptionist tell me I didn’t need to see anyone in person? Why were my symptoms not investigated further? I understand that the NHS is busy, but I feel let down with the service from the practice for this problem.

    I really can’t fault Stanley Medical Group. They respond promptly to online medical requests, take into account times you may not be available, offer phone or face to face appointments as they see appropriate, and have always seen me and my children when needed. The reception team have a really difficult job but cope exceptionally well with it. They have a constant stream of patients with varying concerns and complaints to deal with. Often these patients are rude and demanding, yet the reception team deal with them professionally and patiently. The doctors and clinical team are welcoming and listen to concerns, and always provide sound medical advice. I really do feel the surgery is doing an amazing job despite the pressure they are under and the huge number of patients they have to see. Grateful to be able to bring my children here. Thank you!

    If this review was for Trip Advisor id give 6 stars firstly staff are so approachable and friendly I changed GPs due to waiting times for appointments also not face to face, within one week of registration to Stanley Medical Group I was seen face to face, referrals made to specialist, and a full MOT lovely calming surgery fabulous empathic staff best around Thank you
