    I attended the practice in January 24 regarding a potential congenital heart problem. After having tests I waited for any follow up but to no avail. The Ask My GP service is usually switched off in under a few minutes and recently is permanently offline. You are directed to call the practice but your calls are cut off. The lack of a follow up is causing worry and anxiety

    No help , no clue what to say when you ned help with the questions. My rezult on the blood test was lost end nobody let me know to repet again. I don't see unprofessional services on the desk never on my life.

    March 24, my wife phoned reception and told the them that she had been suffering from bad headaches for 2 weeks, she was told she had to wait 2 weeks to see doctor doctor, she collapsed at home with a bleed on the brain and rushed to salford royal, i tried to phone reception , Everytime I phone reception they never pick up, they're very unprofessional, ive noticed on these reviews, the practice never give a reply, maybe its time the CQC did a up to date review on the place last one was 6y ago.

    I had a prostate physical examination with a Doctor on 4/1/23 and a PSA blood test the day after. The Doctor said he would text me with the results but this did not happen. The results were on line on 6/1/23 showing a PSA of 1.6 but I do not know if this is good or bad and I am getting a bit stressed not knowing if I need any further tests or investigation. I first tried to ring but this was unanswered I then contacted the email address on the site for the practice manager but this came back stating she no longer works for the practice. I then emailed the address given on this reply but this has not been answered. I have since had a reply using an email address (not the one published on the site) and was told that my message has been passed to the Doctor, but I have not yet had a reply from the Doctor. Please note that I am deaf and talking on the phone is a big problem' could you please reply if you feel fit, by email I am trying to avoid avoid having to escalate the issue to the commissioner.

  5. Review titled Issues still not resolved

    Most of the appointments I have recently attended were delayed around 30 min and more. Issue with palpitations raised a year ago and still not resolved - awaiting response. The car park is mainly for staff, with very limited space for patients.

    I have chronic sinusitis and was trying for 4 days to get on my GP to get antibiotics the my GP service closed by 9;05. Telephoned surgery to ask for antibiotics was told to go on my GP explained I could get on as it closed within 5 minutes of opening receptionist finally agreed to send a message to GP for me. I have been waiting 4 weeks for them to prescribe antibiotics and infection is now so bad in constant pain and bleeding.

    They never seem to have any idea about anything linked the NHS especially vaccinations, the receptionists are so unhelpful, dismissive and rude and they often make very distressing circumstances and situations much worse thanks to their attitude. They do the actual healthcare staff a massive disservice.

    Even the basic functions of booking an appointment with a doctor simply no longer work here, at all. If you phone or visit, in the event the phone is answered/ the practice is open, you are directed to the askmygp website to book an appointment, unless you have no internet access. Visiting the askmygp website reveals a message that says "Patients: please go to your own gp practice website. There are no patient services here." meaning the advice to go to the askmygp site is straight up incorrect, and yet still on the recorded phone messages. If you do visit their site, you currently get a message telling you askmygp is currently closed. All this adds up to the simple result that you just can't even use this medical practice as they advise you to. By way of further evidence, the existing reviews here are all met with a clearly copy/pasted message saying "ring the surgery and speak with either the Practice Manager or our Deputy Practice Manager" where you are, again, met with the same recorded message. Even when reviews discuss the difficulty in reaching them by phone. Clearly even the reviews are not being taken seriously. For many symptoms, (for example, confusion, to name just one) this simply means you can't get medical help. Walking into a doctor's surgery is just about managable. Navigating this system of redirection without being able to think clearly is not.

    Yesterday I woke up feeling that I was started with cystitis, something I suffer with regularly. I somehow managed to get an appointment yesterday and was eventually given antibiotics. I have tried to book a follow up appointment as requested but have been unable to do so. I have tried to use the Ask my gp app and have been told that this no longer works - however it appears the same as the website I was directed to. However, I can only book an appointment, once approved by the doctor, and I can only access the website between 7.30 and 10.30 I am working full time and cannot always get on a computer at the times and I have also been told that the Ask my Gp website often closes before this time due to demand. I do not need an appointment for that day I need one for next week so how do I book? When I went for my appointment yesterday there was no one in the surgery, two receptionist working behind the desk and they turned 2 elderly people away telling them to go in the ask my gp website. Oh but you can’t go on until the morning and even then it may be closed. Nether me or these people need to go to A&E however how do you get to see a doctor when you need to. I have been told that this is the system across Wigan but I feel that this system is not acceptable. In the meantime I feel rubbish, need a follow up and investigations and simply just left along with many other of your patients forced to suffer, go undiagnosed, go to a&e or simply give up. Surely this system is not working and need addressing. What ever happened to our service. It did not used to be like this and this is not progress.

  10. Review titled askmyGP not fit for purpose

    The askmyGP Is regularly closed by 8.30am. It is not possible to speak to a person and when the answering machine is full it simply cuts off, but the patient has no way of knowing this. There doesn’t seem to be enough GP’s to cover the patient numbers.
