I changed from another local practice that I was dissatisfied with, and have always had good service with same day appointments where required

  2. Review titled Amazing surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am a mum of 4 children so through the winter we use the surgery alot to check on rashes or if a fever has been going on a while. I must say that I think the surgery and all the staff there are just amazing. They always manage to get us an appointment, the staff are very friendly and the doctors never make you feel silly for getting things checked out. I understand that alot of GP practices are struggling at the moment and just wanted to highlight what a brilliant job this surgery does.

  3. Review titled Unwanted texts

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have received a number of texts from the practice asking me to divulge my ethnicity. Considering that I have been a patient at St Mary's Surgery for about 35 years, my ethnicity should be on your records. Throughout this period, I have generally been very satisfied with my treatment.

  5. Review titled No fighting needed

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went back to my GP today after 5 years of struggling with back pain. My first experience trying to figure out what was going on was not great. I went in with back pain while exercising and I felt like I was constantly needing to convince the doctors I spoke to that I was actually in pain and had to push to get seen by a specialist who along with my GP told me they couldn't do anything and to go to the gym and lose weight, no pain management offered no recommendations of sites to visit or help. But today I went in expecting to have the same experience but was seen by a doctor I hadn't met before. He listened to me, he examined me and he is helping me, he is getting more checks done. He recommended a site to visit that gave advice on pain management and lists more concerning symptoms to watch out for. I didn't feel judged at all and I left feeling like I had been taken seriously and I will have more confidence next time to go to the doctor's rather than put it off until I am really having trouble dealing with my problems.
