Working in the sector, I see good and not so good practices. My experience at St Andrews has been exceptional. For example, I did an e consult on a Sunday and within minutes my query was dealt with by a GP at the practice on the same day- a weekend! So so impressed. Really keep up the excellent work. And thank you for giving up your weekends to look after us.

Left without epilepsy medication because they said they couldn't contact my neurologist which is not my fault. Then they issued a weeks worth and sent it to a different chemist that doesn't deliver even though I'm a delivery patient. Appalling behaviour. A seizure should be treated as a medical emergency, and then I was asked because I don't leave the house, how I get shopping in. Obviously I order online, but how dare they ask that!! Made to feel absolutely insignificant and as someone who is going through deep trauma therapy I thought they would have been much kinder. I was very, very wrong. I asked to speak to the practice manager and she was on leave, asked to speak to a deputy and was told she hadn't for the day so basically the practice is unmanaged. Very unprofessional.

Dear Mr Johnson, thank you for your comments. I have been on annual leave but there are three members of staff able to deal with queries and complaints other than myself. If any of the staff are not available immediately they would ring you on their return to discuss your concerns. I need to have a pessary replaced and the receptionist tried to give me a telephone appointment. This can only be done by 2 Doctors at the surgery but receptionist did not know who these were , I had to look them up myself while I waited. I was then told there was no appointments. I now might get an infection if the pessary is not changed. My partner has had worse experiences, he has been told to go to A and E on two occasions rather than give him an appointment. It seems that this is an easier and better option. I am very disappointed in this surgery and am thinking if changing.

I do wonder if you have the right practice as our pessary fitting is done by an advanced nurse practitioner that we employ specifically for pessary and coil fittings and all of our staff are aware of this. Asked to speak to the main manager, was told she was on holiday, asked to speak to the deputy manager was told she had finished for the day. So is this practice left without management?? I feel this needs addressing ASAP.

In my absence there are three staff available to deal with complaints or concerns. If they have left for the day they will always return a call the following day.

3 times I've asked this practice for the details of their governing body, one had no idea! The others avoid giving these details at all costs!

Needed something to stop my back that was in spasm after a epileptic seizure, told I would have to wait until the next day to be assessed by a paramedic from this surgery. I've had this before, it's common for me being an epileptic, but never have I been told to wait the next til the next day. Shocking they leave someone in such pain. 2023 and patients are being treated like this, no faith in the NHS

I have not been able to leave my house for over a year, and I've told various medical staff this at the practice. But now they insist I attend the surgery. Where is the compassion and self centered care? Simple answer, there is none.

The staff who answer the phones here are most garrulous and argumentative. I asked one to speak to their manager and they said "No" and put the phone down on me! Is this a GP practice or a side show comedy? You couldn't make this up.

Treated most awfully on the telephone by staff. Ended up in tears, do they not understand mental health? Are they given up to date training? The mind boggles.

Awful for mental health care this practice, pushed from pillar to post and passed around. Spoke to someone today who was happily going to leave me on another waiting list which can take a year, yet I'm meant to be classed as 'urgent' absolute joke.
