   During an initial appointment in April I was examined , had blood tests taken and was referred on the cancer pathway because the GP I was fortunate enough to see suspected something more serious than I had considered. The speed with which I was referred and the thoroughness of that initial appointment I can honestly say saved my life. Coordinated appointments between 4 hospitals meant I had scans and further investigations quickly which led to a cancer diagnosis, surgery and chemotherapy treatment. The doctors at Small Heath medical practice have continued to care for me with follow up appointments post surgery and review appointments to offer help and support as I have my chemotherapy treatment. I cannot thank them enough for their care and consideration at this difficult time.
