I have visited Shotfield Medical Centre twice in the last 3 months, once for myself and the other with my husband. On both occasions, the Reception staff have been extremely helpful and pointed me in the right direction as to how our medical conditions could be triaged. Resulting in the doctors fitting us into their already busy schedules on the day. When I saw the doctor, he had even come to work and he was full of cold himself (he was wearing a mask, but I think he would have rather been at home)! I cannot fault them at all.

Filled online form about 8am, my daughter suffering with tonsillitis , called back within 30 mins and offered an appt at 10.20 with physician assistant. Seen on time and prescribed antibiotics, authorised and prescription was as my nominated pharmacy to pick up on way home. These appts save doctors time and are a brilliant idea for common illnesses

Used their new online appointment system today. I felt very unsure about using however it worked extremely well and would have no hesitation in using it again in the future.

I changed to this practice a few years ago when my GP moved to it. I have been generally pleased with the ability to get face-to-face appointments when needed. My most recent experience was brilliant. The doctor called me in at exactly my appointment time, he/she was very interested in my issues, was clear about the next steps and I could actually get a chest x-ray there and then. (They have an x-ray department on site!!) My appointment was at 9:30 and I was out of there at 10:03 having seen the doc and had a chest x-ray. Both the doc and the x-ray staff were friendly and helpful and, as always, the reception staff were also friendly and kind. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

The booking in computer broken, made life difficult as there was only one at the reception, the person in front of me took ages, please have more staff. Doctors and Nurses wonderful, very caring, explained everything. Managed to book appointment easily, sometimes almost impossible, new system seems to work.

I was contacted one hour before appointment to say it was cancelled due to staff sickness.the next appointment was made 14 days later.

My father has recently passed away and had been a patient at this surgery for over 20 years. I can't fault the service he received over this time and in the last few weeks the care he received was exemplary. Everyone at the surgery was really helpful and the GPs in particular were excellent and very supportive at what was a stressful and upsetting time for both Dad and the family. He couldn't have got much better care at the end stage of his life.

Surgery picked up results of blood tests which showed deteriating kidney function- caused mainly from medication following heart surgery. Requested to make appointment to discuss with GP. Prompt telephone appointment arranged with good conversation with GP re blood tests and continuing medication. I consider I am receiving excellent service from the NHS. Thank you

1. Seen on the day - no waiting. Triage phone call first which is followed up by an on site appointment on the same day if needed or requested. 2. GPs are all excellent. 3. Appointments can be made with nurses who are efficient and keep to time. 4. Reception staff are friendly and go out of their way to help. 5. Practice buildings are well- maintained, clean and warm. 6. Blood pressure machine is available- you just walk in and use it. 7.Although not part of the practice, it is good to have the physiotherapy department with gym and blood testing and chest x-ray department on the same premises so that local people don't have to travel. 8. There is an active Patient Participation Group. They organise a local Tuesday walking group for those wanting to improve their fitness or just walk and socialise. 9. Vaccination clinics are efficiently run and take place on a Saturday by invitation. 10. The Practice listen to feedback from patients and take action when something needs to be improved. For example, the telephone service is currently being removed so that in future there will be less waiting for calls to be answered.
