  1. Review titled Covid jab pain

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 October 2023

I had a covid jab at Little Hulton Medical Centre Longshaw Drive, Little Hulton, Manchester, my arm is extremely painful. I have had a number of jabs in the past and not experienced this kind of discomfort. The person administering the jab must be doing it wrong.

  2. Review titled Endless issues

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 March 2023

Have been with this GP for a number of years, endless issues from rude and unhelpful reception staff to GP's who don't listen nor seem to care in the slightest and that is if you are lucky enough to be able to get an appointment. All the good GP's all seem to have left the practice and the locums just don't seem to care and don't bother looking at your history or even listening to you about what the issue is. Have now moved to another practice and wouldn't recommend them at all nor will I ever use them again.

I have just got back from having my Covid booster. Just wanted to say it was really well organised and all the staff were cheerful and helpful. Top job!

  4. Review titled The worst practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by V. Taylor - Posted on 21 October 2022

On 14th Oct I spoke to a doctor and I got told he needed to see me to discuss my recent trip to A&E plus take a look at my arm. He told me that I need to listen out for a phone call on 17th Oct from the receptionist with my appointment for the 17th anyway I never got a call from the receptionist by midday so I used the online as it is quicker than being stuck on the phone as it takes a life time to get through now matter what time of the day you call. I found out my appointment was at 13:40 but this information was only told to me with only about 20 mins before my appointment by a message on the website. I'm driving like a mad person trying to make it on time. Made it with about 1 min to spare, good job I don't live further away and didn't get pulled over by the police. The doctor never discussed the reason why I ended up in A & E and was very rude. I have been at this surgery for years and has gone downhill for many years but got even worse since Covid. U can never get an appointment when the tell u to call up at 8am and tell u to call again at 8am but why am I going to keep calling at 8am to get nowhere. They still using Covid as an excuse to not see paitents face to face even though I can go to hospital and have face to face appointments. It's wasting peoples time to speak to the doctor 1st only to be told u need to go and c them face to face. Phone appointments are never available and I've called 8am on the dot and somehow I'm number 25 in the queue how's that? I tell you how, it's because everyone needs to speak to the doc 1st only to then need a face to face so that means them appointments aren't available because we are on the phone with the GP. Online system Is rubbish too as you can't use it after midday. You a bit stuck if u work lates or early mornings as it means you can't ring them or use the website. Never know a practice to be so poor. 1 star is still too generous. Bring back face to face, bring back a proper website that you can use throughout the practice working hours, plus emergency appointments and appointments you can book in advance to see the GP

  5. Review titled First impressions count!

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 July 2022

Went into the reception area today to pick up something for a relative (I'm not a patient here), approached the reception desk who would have definitely seen me enter and approach the desk. I stood inbetween two members of reception staff as I wasn't sure which one I wanted, neither of them gave me eye contact, smiled or asked what I wanted, In fact they most definitely avoided all eye contact. After standing there for two minutes (ok it isn't long but they saw me) I politely asked one of them excuse me could somebody help me ? "which GP surgery do you want?" was the reply so I told her, she told me you want "X" and pointed out the person next to her (who was still avoiding eye contact!) She then looked up after a minute and said oh sorry I needed to finish what I was doing. Why didn't she say this when it was pointed out it was her I needed? Neither of them knew what I wanted or which GP surgery I wanted when I approached the desk. Why did one of them not speak to me? The waiting area was full of people sat watching this and I wondered if they too were treated like this on entry. First impressions count and my impression of this surgery was how rude the reception staff are.

  6. Review titled Awful. New health centre, same dire service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 July 2022

I didn't think it was possible to go further downhil than the practice already was. Using covid as an excuse to not give appointments and having telephone calls instead. This is my day off from work and spent all morning calling just to be given a phone call appointment. Probably won't even be seen now as by the time the doc phones me then decides he'll need to see me since he can't examine through a phone, there'll be no appointments. The app is dreadful too. Rather find a back street witch doctor

  7. Review titled Shambles of an appointment booking system

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Paul Taylor - Posted on 25 May 2022

What is this completely ridiculous appointment booking system about. I understand it may work for on the day appointments but this was the conversation I just had with a receptionist Me: Can I book appointment please. Receptionist: All the appointments are gone for today Me: That’s ok its not urgent, can you book it for later in the week, say Friday? Receptionist: No, all the appointments have gone for today and Friday, you’ll have to ring up at 8am tomorrow to book for Friday Me: Wait, what? You can’t book me an appointment for Friday today because they’ve all gone but if I ring up tomorrow at 8am I can get one. Receptionist: Yes. Me: Ok can you book me for Next Thursday? Receptionist: No I can’t do that, you’d have to ring at 8am on Tuesday… This process of having everyone ringing at 8am to fight for appointments like dogs at a table for scraps is utterly mind-blowing. Oh, don ‘t trust the automated system because it doesn’t retain your place in the queue!

  8. Review titled Impossible to book an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 April 2022

Extremely hard to get through in time to book limited daily appointments so chose to use online booking. Needed to know if it was safe to continue taking my immunosuppressants after contracting Covid-19. Request for medical advice was rejected by reception who incorrectly directed me to 119 (who are not trained to give medical advice). Government guidelines state to speak to own GP or 111. Had to resort to contacting 111 who called back promptly because of my underlying health conditions and gave me the needed advice. I really should have been able to speak to my GP.
