Four times in the past year I have gone to the chemist to pick my repeat prescription up,only to be told it was "void" due to being sent twice from the Drs at Grangewood.Four times I rang to make them aware there was a computer error,& could they sort it,but I'm still having problems!! This is diabolical, & not fair on me as it's not my fault the prescription cant be dispensed! To make matters worse,my elderly neighbour was fobbed off with codiene, then told to pee in a bowl & get someone to bring it to surgery, when it turned out he has a broken back!!! Once my next appointment is over,I am leaving this practice. Will miss most of the nurses & receptionists though,as most have been brilliant.

  2. Review titled Great practice

Thank you to the GP I saw today, who put me at my ease and allowed me time to explain my symptoms. The intervention was kind and considerate ensuring I was happy with the follow up. I also want to mention the receptionist (sorry didn't catch name) who rang me early evening to give me an earlier appointment for my tests. They went the extra mile and in these days of problems within the NHS it was heartwarming for such a kind and considerate act. For that I send many thanks.

  3. Review titled Telephone answering non existent Practice a waste of time!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Maureen Vann - Posted on 20 December 2022

Received a phone message today to return the call.. Several attempts resulted in finally having the 5 minute count down - cutting off after the first 5 minutes. 2 nd attempt was down to 1 minute for 15 minutes. Finally we were told that the prescription was not available at any chemist. Which we already knew, as we had returned the prescription as being unavailable and were told a new prescription would be available the following afternoon (today) but we’re informed nothing was available but to use a mouth wash!!!! The receptionist was helpful it’s a shame the rest of the practice is not.

Hi Maureen Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry that this was your experience with us and that we were unable to help you in this situation. Unfortunately we can only prescribe what is available in the pharmacies and there has been some medication shortages in the last couple of months which is affecting some patients. We understand that this is frustrating but ultimately it's something that is out of our control. If you feel we have not addressed your concern or would like to raise this further, please feel free to fill in the following form with more information: https://www.rpcchesterfield.co.uk/complaint-compliment--concern-form Kind Regards, Royal Primary Care

  4. Review titled Something wrong

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I received a text message to contact the surgery regarding blood test results. The first five calls were engaged, the sixth connected after fifteen minutes. I explained I had been told to make an appointment and the answer was there are no appointments available for four weeks and I should keep trying on a daily basis. This can't be right.

Dear Patient We are really sorry to hear that you were having issues getting through to us and had a 15 minute wait on the telephones. We know that access to our surgeries is an issue for some patients and we are working on some solutions to improve this. Our appointments open up daily for same day, and routine 7, 14 and 28 day appointments. If at the time of your call all of these appointments have been allocated to other patients, we do advise patients to try again the next day when more appointments will have opened up. We know that this is not always ideal but when we are at full capacity and routine appointments are fully booked we unfortunately have no appointments left to offer until the next appointments are released I hope this answers your query, but if you would like to discuss this matter further, please fill in the following form and we can look into this for you: https://www.rpcchesterfield.co.uk/compliments-comments--concerns-form Kind Regards, Royal Primary Care
