This practice really needs to review it's processes. I rejoined after moving into the area and nothing has changed. It is impossible and when I say impossible, it really is to even get through on the phone to make an appointment. The online system never has any appointments available and I am now in month 2 of just trying to get through..I had to go to an out of hours for a severe ear infection and still have been unable to get through to book a regular appointment in terms of mental health. This surgery has a duty of care and are clearly operating dangerously by not even providing patients an opportunity to speak to someone and triage urgent appointments. How they have received a good cqc rating is unknown as they clearly aren't speaking to patients about their experience or checking how many people are unable to even access basic health care

It used to be very difficult to book and amend appointments. It is even harder now. With the new triage system if you want to change your appointment, you need to go through the triage system again. The same triage system that is down from about 11am. So, now instead of waiting on the phone, you need to wait for the triage system to be switched on albeit 1pm on a Thursday afternoon.

Yet Again another bad experience with the surgery Receptionists rude been told I would have to wait over a week for a prescription to be changed to an alternative medication when in pain Could not care about their patients

It used to be a fabulous surgery. Some Dr's. Retired or left and it is going downhill fast. Lucky to see a Dr. in person, they seem to think everyone has transport and prefer to speak with you on the telephone. It's getting as they are indifferent to your problems and making appointments through the reception is like pulling teeth. Would not recommend this practice, such a shame as it was very good years ago.

I have been with the surgery for over 10 years however since covid it has been dreadful! Rude receptionists that tell you “your issue isn’t important “ if is important just go straight to A &E Been on hold for 1hr to 1.5 hr everytime to be told there is no appointments constantly even for children under 3 which is supposed to be priority This surgery since joining with hillbrow has drastically gone down hill

I had covid pneumonia in Nov 2020 and the aftercare from here was brilliant, and unexpected to be honest, I thought at the time I would just leave hospital and that would be it. Then I also have arthritis of the knee and the Dr that has given me the steroid injection for the last year was so knowledgeable, informative and kind. I was really shocked and worried to hear he’d left recently when I booked again this week for my next injection. But I needn’t have worried, the new Dr in the practice was amazing, was interested in me as a person and patient and asked questions and listened to me, giving as much advice as he could. There are lots of other good experiences I have had, but could get a little boring to list them all, infact I have never had a bad experience with this practice, so well done Rotherham Road Medical Practice, and Thank You… I’m so pleased I’m a patient at your practice.
