  1. Review titled Knowledgeable and reassuring staff

Realised p.v. bleed, particularly post menopausal, needs to be taken seriously. Contacted GP at the end of March and face to face appointment given for the same day. Thorough examination by GP and referral made to gynaecology clinic. Blood test carried out and results given reporting all within normal limits. One week later ultrasound carried out. Told nothing untoward noted on screen which was very reassuring. Told appointment would be given for a Hysteroscopy. Contact made by telephone and confirmed by letter for procedure mid April Accompanying letters contained a great deal of information which was very helpful and reassuring. Hysteroscopy carried out. Everyone was friendly but professional. All staff extremely knowledgeable and reassuring. Constant reassurance and care to ensure I was not uncomfortable or in pain. Findings discussed and copy letter given. After care advised. Dignity and privacy protected at all times. It’s not a procedure I would like to repeat but if it has to be carried out anywhere I would recommend Treliske at Truro, in the Women’s and Children’s Services, ONS & Gynae Dept. Thank you everyone.
