    Positive : good discussion and examination, with excellent ‘bedside manner’. Course of treatment, inc prescription. This was a good experience and could not have been dealt with by a tel call. Negative : psoriasis of the ears is distressing and made worse by build-up of wax. It is hard to believe that our nurses are not now dealing with this. Instead I am having to travel and pay for ear wax suction. Ears are a serious matter, the above problems can lead to deafness. Our surgeries should provide an ear wax suction service, as in hospitals.

    Dear Mr Outram Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased that your consultation was a positive experience. I understand your concerns regarding ear syringing, but currently ear wax removal is not part of contracted General Medical Services provided by GPs. NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board are currently conducting a wider review of commissioned services as it has been concluded that current provision for ear wax removal is inadequate and should be considered a priority https://cios.icb.nhs.uk/ Ear wax is an increasing problem for many patients but due to the demands on General Practice, we must prioritise those services that we are contracted to provide. We do have posters in the Practice and will provide information on how to keep ears healthy. We do also have access to hospital-based ear suction clinics for patients who have particularly troublesome ear problems requiring intervention. Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) have raised the issue of ear syringing and we are awaiting the outcome of the review as previously mentioned.     Got a doctor appointment following a telephone consultation. Felt I was extremely well listened to and hospital referral came through almost before I got home. Thank you very much for excellent service - triage phone call, doctor phone call, doctor appointment, follow up and admin support. Top marks Rosedean. Been a patient here 45 years. Felt the energy.

  3. Review titled Terrible service for disabled needing repeat prescriptions

    Supposed to give 7 days notice for repeat prescriptions, (delivery) but after 18 days still not arrived. Phoned surgery and told to send a taxi to collect them. Prescription always put at least 10 days before needed but rarely delivered without having to phone surgery to ask where it is. Last month luckily had daughter down so she collected after almost 2 weeks after repeat prescription put in.

    I really can't thank the staff at rosedean enough. The receptionist I spoke to sorted everything out and reassured me, even though the patient in front of me gave her such a hard time.

    I do not normally leave reviews but this was such an experience I feel compelled to share. We all hear about the pressures that the NHS in general, and primary car in particular are experiencing. Following today's experience I have witnessed I would rate the service as being exceptional. From an initial phone call, answered quickly, politely and efficiently, followed that same day for a face to face appointment with a nurse and then a consultation with a GP all within a few hours was really faultless. The level of care and professionalism throughout by all practice members, receptionist, nurse and GP was exemplary. This continued to the dispenser in the dispensary. In particular I would like to highlight the level of Personalised Care demonstrated by the GP. I did not feel I was having treatment 'done to' me but at all times felt an active part in my treatment discussion and shared decisions about my treatment. At no time did I feel rushed or pressured. I felt respected and valued as an individual. To me, this is our NHS at its very best and an example of how a general practice can, and should be run. I would like to share my sincere thanks and appreciation to this fantastic team working under such unprecedented pressures, although this did not show in anything I saw. This practice is a credit to the staff, the NHS and all who contribute. We are fortunate to have this in Liskeard. Thank you.

    I contacted Rosedean surgery this evening at 17.20 approx with a health concern...the receptionist I spoke to was really kind and helpful...I was called shortly after this conversation by a GP who discussed my concerns and,put in place a medication plan for me.I consider this to be excellent practice and,I'm very grateful...thank you Rosedean
