  1. Review titled Doctor doesn't want to see you

When you call to schedule an appointment, they will suggest self-treatment at home or a visit to the pharmacy. They advise self-care for a week and may request a sample afterward, depending on the issue, to assess for infection. If an infection is detected, they will prescribe antibiotics; otherwise, you're left to manage on your own. This approach feels inadequate when you're in dire need of care.

Thank you for taking the time to add a review. As its this not the case its actually hard to know how to respond to this! The Doctors here very much want to see patients who need their help, but with so many people requesting appointments for things that do not need a GP appointment, it can make it harder for them to see the people who really need them. That's why we ask questions about your symptoms when you call and signpost to the most appropriate service to help you with those. I hope you are able to access the care you need for your minor ailment at the pharmacy, and should it continue, as per the advice given, please do call us for a same day appointment at 8.30am. Wishing you the best of health, Sally

  2. Review titled Cannot reschedule missed registration appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

As the title says, if you miss an appointment, for whatever reason, you will not be allowed to reschedule another. I'm referring to the registration appointment. Luckily for me, there is another practice in the area, so I'm not left in a pinch. It's a bit ridiculous if you think about it.

Dear Sir, Thank you for your comment as it helps highlight the importance of attending appointments on time. Our Patients Viewpoint Group were instrumental in setting our Did Not Attend Policy so I'm sorry you feel this is ridiculous. I note you were 40 minutes late to your appointment. As a small surgery, every wasted appointment affects other patients, hence we take this very seriously. It does explain on the application form to register that if you miss your first appointment here, you will be unable to register with us. This is so from the outset you know what to expect. I do hope you manage to foster a more positive relationship with your new GP surgery going forward and attend or re-arrange appointments you make with them. Wishing you the best of health, Sally, Practice Manager
