    I joined this practice 16 months ago. As a patient with a chronic illness I needed to see a gp face to face this week and this was my first attempt at getting an appointment. The phone was answered quickly, the reception staff were immediately helpful, I got an appointment and was also seen again later in the week. The practice was very professional and I got the help I needed without having to go through the triage phone calls that took place in my last practice. Thank you so much for helping me when I needed it.

    After a blood test, I rang for my results to be told ‘drink more fluids’. I have an ongoing problem and need to keep a record of my results so this response was not helpful. I asked for a phone consultation with a doctor which I had next day having previously told the receptionist the reason. The doctor rang and after I asked if he knew why I was ringing (I had told the receptionist) he responded with ‘well would you like to tell me or shall I just guess’, I told him he was being rude and he apologised profusely and then attempted to baffle me with science. I am well aware of my condition and am in tune with everything that is going on which I told him, I feel he was overcompensating after being rude. This in my opinion was totally unprofessional, I understand that doctors are under pressure and he was obviously having a bad day but we patients need some recognition as we have all suffered during the pandemic. I am the third member of my family to whom this particular doctor has been rude and we are all looking to move to another practice.
