    I messaged the surgery in the morning with a prescription query. The doctor messaged me back mid afternoon to confirm my prescription had been reviewed and sent to the pharmacy. Saved unesessary appointment or time on the phone for all.

    Only moved to Belper and registered at this practice 5 months ago and I have to say that they are brilliant. The receptionists are very helpful and the doctor I have seen was lovely and actually listened to me. I have found them efficient and unlike my last practice, doesn't waste time my time on unnecessary extra appointments. Fab, Thank you

    I have been contacting the surgery on behalf of somebody who does not speak English on a voluntary basis. They have nobody else to rely on to do this and I have my own commitments. A call with a translator was arranged and treatment was discussed for 2 separate issues. My friend attended her initial appointment but the treatment which was discussed on the phone was not again discussed at the appointment (my friend is unfamiliar with our GP customs that one doctor can be consulted for most ailments and therefore does get confused about what is being explained to her sometimes). On ringing again to query if a prescription had been supplied or if the query could be passed to the GP my friend had originally been speaking to, I was told no and the process would have to start from the beginning.

    Why do they never stick to appointment times? Waited over 45 mins with no updates from staff before walking out in disgust. Terrible customer service from supposedly a caring provider. Joke!!!

  7. Review titled Telephone appointment

    After a pharmacist phonecall I was told to book a doctor appointment to review my regular prescriptions. I have been trying at 8am and 1.30pm for 4 weeks and have been unable to get past the automated message. How can all appointments have gone by 8.01am. It is not physically possible to book a whole days appointments in one minute. Why keep people waiting through the 5min automated message when if you know that all appointments have been taken you could relay that at the very start. As it is not possible to get a doctor appointment how can I get the medicines that I cannot do without reinstated.

    Surgery has changed website. No online consulting now. Sent email with details for an appt, trying to be helpful by not phoning on a Monday when they are busy - asked to phone in, so that's what I did. The receptionist today was downright rude. They have implemented new website which was down all weekend. It's not the patients fault the only way now to communicate is by phone - they make you feel you are an inconvenience. I can imagine it's not an easy place to work but politeness costs nothing.

  9. Review titled Cannot follow notes from pharmacy

    I am going away for 6 weeks and require 2 months medication. Placed repeat prescriptions in to pharmacy who placed a note with it asking for sufficient medication to cover the period. On collection today there was only 1 months supply. I now have to hope the surgery get it right for my departure on the 14th A simple task but the surgery failed adding to my anxiety.

    Following a blood test I had a call from one of the doctors to say that he was concerned about one result, he suggested I come off one of my medications and have a further blood test (18/08), since the doctor’s call on the 9th I have been very worried about my health, I contacted the surgery on the 17th asking if I could go back to the medication and was told to wait until the second blood test results came in, today I called to check if the results were in and was told that they had come back on the 19th but all was fine, I asked if I could speak to a doctor to see if I could start taking the medication again but was told I had to wait 2 weeks for a routine appointment or they could give me a query appointment by text that afternoon, I queried the fact that a courtesy call wouldn’t have been amiss to put my mind at ease, I asked to be put trough to the practice manager but she was not in, the deputy practice manager didn’t take the call but would call me back, no call received. My question is: if one doctor is concerned enough to contact me because he is worried would it not make sense to call me to put my mind at ease when all is well, totally disappointed with the practice
