    I'm new to the Ratby Surgery. (I felt that my last practise's dependence on locums was not working for me.) I still feel in a bit of a time shift! This feels like the kind of service. at its best, is how it used to be. And I'm 85! From seeing a named doctor, whose eye contact was with me, rather than on the screen (But, if you are a locum doctor, that's where your eyes will often have to be) to texts which take the care to say 'please contact the Practice about a routine matter,' I have nothing but praise for the Ratby Surgery. There have been rather a lot of unhappy,critical comments levelled at Doctors since the pandemic. Not all of them just grousing. But I give the Ratby Practice five stars for its humane handling of me. They are only a small Village Practice, but they seem to have chosen a way of working with patients which maximises respect and care.

    Hi there, I just wanted to pass on my thanks to the GP that saw me Tuesday 6th June. I have been suffering with Eczema for years now and I've seen a Private GP and a Specialist in the past but nothing they prescribed me ever really worked. It had got to the point were I didn't even like my own reflection in the mirror and I didn't want to be seen in public. I wasn't sleeping at night as I was constantly uncomfortable. My mental health was also starting to suffer because of it. The medication the GP prescribed me has been incredible! My Eczema has literally vanished and I can't tell you how thankful I am. He has completely changed my life! I know people are quick to complain and rarely praise so I wanted to make sure I took a couple of minutes to say thank you.

  3. Review titled Go Above and Beyond to give best care.

    I cannot praise this drs enough. The care they give is exceptional they go above and beyond. The receptionists are always helpful.The Doctors all listen! They are very thorough , knowledgable and get to the bottom of your problems and refer quickly. I feel my elderly mum who has heart problems is in safer hands with this practice than local hospitals or accident and emergency. They have done far more for her. The difference is they genuinely care about there patients and want the best for them. Thankyou so much for all your hard work during difficult times for the NHS and for the excellent care you give.

    Visited 13/4/22 to have steroid injection fo hip as been in terrible debilitating pain for ages ,been referred to hospital in June but dr hoped would get relief from jab,I’m sure it would have but after sitting waiting almost 25 mins for 5 pm appt was advised that app cancelled as prob at surgery & they should have informed me , said could offer me app following wedns if wanted believe me was so angry as not slept properly no slept in bed for wks that just came home & once again back to filling my body with pain killers for some sort of relief think may look into private injection , would also point out had op for lung cancer last sept so this is just another thing didn’t want to deal with , seriously thinking of looking for another surgery as at end of tether now .     We do apologise that you were left waiting for so long in the waiting room, during that time in April we had staff isolating due to Covid and were having to cancel appointments, unfortunately you were not notified of the cancellation, however your appointment was made at hospital to have an injection in your Hip. On behalf of Ratby Surgery I apologise once again for the error on our part,
