Called at 8.00 to try and get an emergency appointment to see the Dr. I was advised by the receptionist to go to minor injury unit, I advised that i was unable to get there (3 hr bus journey to get there, 6 hr round trip), receptionist kept persisting that this was my best option despite my advising that this was not possible. What is the point of being with a local practice if all they do is tell you to go elsewhere? The point of calling at 8.00 for an emergency appointment is to see the Dr, however this practice seems determined to not make this happen. I unsure what needs to be wrong with you in order to be seen.

Forms needing to be completed. Had consent, delayed to gain consent again. All medical records outsourced to external company- took months to get medical records- waited for invoiced to be paid first. Paid for GP to fill out documents, still waiting. likely to loose job offer because its taken since October 2022

Don’t bother trying getting a Doctor appointment, you are told it’s 3 – 4 weeks before you can be seen! I offered to go to one of the other practices in the group but was told that’s not possible – not much point in being a “group practice” then is there. You get told to call first thing in the morning to see availability – 08:01 I was number 57 in the queue! I have had to rely on the out of hour’s service for treatment. Considering I am a cancer patient and immune-suppressed the level of service here is abysmal and I will be actively looking to change practice.

It appears impossible to actually see a doctor so will have to rely on a & e. Please bring back the old system whereby you could simply book an appointment by visit or 'phone.
