    Had. a very frustrating time with a doctor due to my poor earing problem felt I wasted my chance. to get. sorted.. very difficult to communicate with her. .do we have a choice. what doctor we see ????? I wouldn't want to go through that again with that doctor

    Gp fantastic once you get to see a Gp as for robins lane receptions absolutely shocking how they talk down to you having suffering with anxiety crying to receptionists to be told at 8am no appointments left got that bad that my anxiety has got worse the thought of ringing them to see a Gp as the staff are awful they need caring compassion staff and this is what is letting this Gp practice down

    Why does Rainbow Medical operate eConsult. As a patient your continuously told to use eConsult first before phoning. Yet your eConsult service only ever operates Monday to Friday 7am to 9am so what exactly is the point of it? Are health issues only a Monday to Friday between 7am - 9am issue, No they are a 24/7 issues for the public. Suggest Rainbow Medical do some serious reorganization of there eConsult service to provide better patient care an outcomes. Most GP providers providing a eConsult service during the full operating hours of GP practice with a number of providers facilitating a 24/7 eConsult submission. Rainbow Medical definitely needs to look at best practices from these surgery's and improve your services drastically.

    I am sorry that you are unhappy with the e-consultation service provided by the Rainbow Medical Centre. E-consultation is one of several ways for patients to contact the practice. As a result; the practice has to ensure that the number of e-consultations received can be processed in a safe/timely manner, as well as dealing with all the other demands that the practice faces on a daily basis.     This has always been my GP and have never had a bad experience. They are a busy practice and it can be hard to get thru to book an appointment, I think all GP practicesarethe same at the moment. The GP's, Nurses and Admin staff are always helpfull, friendly and efficient. A very busy practice I would recommend either surgery to anyone looking for a new GP

    I came for a visit today and saw one of the Nurses, who was wonderful,she took the time to answer any questions i had, asked me several times if i was unsure of anything, even took the time to draw me a diagram to explain things more clearly regarding the problem i was describing. I didnt feel rushed at all, and felt completely at ease. Thankyou for a wonderful & friendly experience.

    Worst GP service I have ever had. Staff are not helpful, say they will call you back but never do! Have wait ridiculous amounts of times for simple things such as fit note to be told and ANP is not able to do it which is complete untrue Under NHS guidelines GP, ANP, Physio, OT are all able to issue fit notes, perhaps this practice needs to ensure they are working to latest guidelines to ensure they provide the most effective services to there patients

    I am sorry if you have had a poor experience with our practice. For me to investigate the issues you faced I would require you to contact me with the details. In relation to the changes to the fit note; the guidance was only published on 01.07.22. The relevant members of our staff team are organising to undertake the necessary training, as the guidance states 'any health professional who intends to certify and issue fit notes should complete the training modules and undergo a period of 'structured monitoring and support''. However, our clinical system (EMIS), which is widely used across the NHS, also needs to be updated to allow nurses and other healthcare professional to issue fit notes and this update is not scheduled yet. Until that update has been provided only doctors will be able to issue the fit notes. I hope this information is useful and explains why only doctors can presently provide a fit note to patients.     Have been left very impressed following a call to reception. The receptionist I spoke to, couldn't have been more helpful, providing me calm instructions of how to progress the issue I was enquiring about, and taking their time to ensure I both understood and was happy to proceed. Due to the sensitive nature of the enquiry, I had initially been a little impatient and flustered on the call, but the calm and helpful nature of the manner in which the receptionist conversed with me, put me at ease and led to me being very happy with the advice provided and professional and caring nature of the receptionist. Well done Rainbow Medical Centre.

  8. Review titled E-Consult and Appointments what a joke of a system

    Need an appointment with this practice forget it, never going to happen. Your told to use e-consult but they turn off there e-consult service at 9am every day so not even available and turn on it back on untill 6am the following day, what joke of a system. Most other GP practices have ot available all day so why can you not!!! Call to book an appointment never any available Access to GP services here is inaccessible, explains the additional pressure this GP practice is putting on Urgent Care and Emergency departments unnecessarily!! This practice needs a massive overall in it operating model, and needs to improve its staffing, services provided and accessibility to these services. One of the worst GP practices in the area!!

    A,though the phones were busy, I spoke to a receptionist, explained my symptom, a doctor phoned me later that day and asked to see me the following day. All the staff are under pressure but I wouldn’t change my surgery. All the doctors are brilliant, no complaints from me, I know the days of phoning and getting a visit with the doctor of your choice are over, but you will always get to speak to a doctor, then he or she can will give you a face to face appointment if they think it is needed I’m a loyal patient, remember all the doctors, nurses, receptionists and any staff I have missed,they all have Families to go home to.

    I contacted the practice, and the reception team weren't able to help at the time, so raised a task with my GP, and advised to call back on Friday if i hadn't heard from them. (Wednesday lunch phone call). I received a phone call back from the reception team within 2 hours. I know many people, from many different practices struggle to get an appointment, especially since covid, but my experience of this practice, i can't complain. It is frustrating to call as soon as the surgery opens, and be either met with the engaged sound, or on hold for 10+ minutes, but the reception team are always friendly, and the doctors/nurses/healthcare assistants have always made me feel at ease.
