Dear Lucas, Thank you for your comments and feedback. Rather than waiting on the phone, you may find it easier to access the triage form on our website. This will allow you to enter a summary of your problem and this form will then be triaged by one of our GPs who will then respond back to you. I am sorry you feel you have been met with a bad attitude and no offer of help when you have called. All of our trained receptionists are here to help you and can complete the triage form on your behalf if you are unable to complete it yourself. This means that whether you call or complete the form, you will still receive the same help and support from the surgery. If you would like any further support from the practice then please do not hesitate to contact us either by phone or by completing the contact form on our website. Kind regards Angie Newton Business Manager Lordswood Medical Group

  2. Review titled Poor service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

After a long wait to get the appointment, I was really shocked by the doctor being unable to listen to my complains , saying that it is 10 minutes appointment and he can receive only one chief complain . Although it doesn’t take more than two minutes to listen to the complains !! I wonder what sort of Medicine is this where the patient is unable to address his health concerns . The practitioner give you the feeling that he wants to finish his job , instead of willing to treat your concerns. However I was forced to focus in my major complain which was some signs and symptoms of diabetes, expecting an urgent blood test to confirm. Unfortunately I was shocked again with the blood test being after one month. Assuming the test is positive , how do you leave a patient seeking treatment in a hyperglycaemic status for one month!! This appointment made me realise how useless is to meet a GP in NHS. I wonder what sort of medical service it is , the patient will still remain a patient even if it is a free service.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry you felt unable to discuss all of your medical concerns when visiting the surgery recently. Like most GP practices, we ask patients to book one appointment per condition as our GPs only have 10 minutes with each patient. During this time, they have to review your notes, access any applicable letters as well as listen to you and record your concerns. Following this, they may need to make a referral or add detailed notes to your record. Demand for our phlebotomy service remains high but we are exploring the option of offering blood tests during our extended hours service on a Saturday morning and will advise when this is live on our practice website. I hope this information is useful but please feel free to get in touch if there is anything further we can help you with. Kind regards Angie Newton Business Manager Lordswood Medical Group
