This week I visited the specialist nurse to have a coil fitted and discuss my medication. She was so kind and caring as I was terrified that procedure would hurt like last time. I felt so comfortable in her presence. I can honestly say the whole process was pain free and even the booking was straightforward. The receptionists here are also wonderful and when I mentioned how lovely they all were they confirmed how many comments they get for the nurse. Anyone reading this and thinking of getting a coil should book with the nurse as she is truly amazing. This is a lovely practice with a very happy team in a clean modern environment. Thank you for all your hard work. Please do not change a thing.

I had to wait a long time to see the Menopause nurse specialist but it was so worth it. She was kind patient and spent ages just listening to me. Really feel I have got a personal plan of care, she is my hero. Love this practice. Already feeling better.

I have been really pleased with the level of care received and the doctors are wonderful. Also, the pathways tool is great as it allows to communicate with the surgery online and the responses are prompt.

I visited this week to see nurse for my review. I was greeted by all new members of reception and the smiles were so welcoming. The lovely girl I spoke to was unable to answer my question but said she would find out. Another member of the team then came to her aid and the customer service was exceptional. On the 75 th birthday of the NHS I want to express my thanks to you all. I know my family are very lucky to be patients here. I have known the nurse for many many years and feel very safe in your care. Everyone seems happy and it is really lovely to see. Keep up the good work. I am sure at times it is not easy but you are appreciated as the reviews on here show. Also the new look first floor waiting room is very smart.

Review titled Lovely kind of young staff

Today I popped into the surgery to deliver some paperwork and was meet by two lovely receptionists. A young man and lovely smiley very young girl. I have never seen them before. It turns out both of them were new.The young man was on the phone so I asked the girl if I could make an appointment. She said it was her second day but said she would get someone who knew what to do. Your team are a credit to you. To be meet with smiles, and feel welcomed is so reassuring. Please pass on my praise as I feel we need to value such wonderful customer service. I look forward to my next visit.

I do not usually leave reviews but having just had my hormonal review with the lovely nurse I feel compelled. This surgery is so efficient and I love the fact they have experienced and very knowledgeable nurses. I have had the same nurse for the whole time I have been a patient (about 15 years) and she never changes. So warm and welcoming and I think she is probably responsible for the manner of all the other lovely nurses. In an age of the NHS staff being seriously overwhelmed I recommend being a patient at this practice as they truly care. I have seen two of the doctors who are also very kind. This is a clean, well run establishment that inspires you to feel safe. Please keep up the good work. You are appreciated even if it doesn’t feel like it at times.

I went to the reception on 31/03/2023 to book appointment to check my blood as it should be done to keep an eye on my sugar levels. I was told by one of three receptionists that I must make an online appointment with my Doctor. This is wrong as it clearly states in the details on Parkshot website that appointment can be made 1.) Online 2.) By phone 3.) In person by visiting the reception! I believe that this is example of further dehumanisation of the services, where people are sidelined and pushed to use automatic services ( often not working, too complicated, or difficult to use) where there is a justifiable fear that some patients will not make an appointment which may prove to have been vital, possibly too late. Otherwise my experience with my GP surgery until yesterday was always 10 out of 10.

I saw the nurse for HRT advice last month and by the time I had left she had done my smear, taken my blood to check my symptoms not related to anything else and vaccinated me with two vaccines for my asthma. I feel so much better one month on and I look forward to seeing her again for my review. The team at Parkshot are so kind and I know I am lucky to be registered here, especially when I talk to my friends. I was persuaded by the nurse to use the messaging system and again she was right as it is an excellent way to get medical help. I barely telephone now so avoiding that battle of getting the appointment I need.

This week I was given the most excellent care by one of nursing team at Parkshot. She has been there many years and is always so kind and efficient when we meet. She normally vaccinated my children but now it’s my turn. I spoke to her before Christmas about my menopausal symptoms and today I had my review. She is so focused on listening that I truly feel she delivers personalised care. I have gone from a mad woman to a hugger under her care. Thank you for employing her, she's a credit to your surgery. I think Parkshot is amazing, I would happily see any doctor and feel very safe seeing the nurses too as they are so knowledgeable. A well run health care establishment.

Review titled Calm and organised Polio Clinic

I was dreading taking my little one to Parkshot for her Polio as the experience with my 9 year old in a community clinic was very stressful. The experience could not have been more different. The nurse was kind and took time to explain the vaccine. It was only at this point I realised my 9 year old had had a different one. The nurse then quickly and calmly gave the injection and my little one didn’t even cry. I am amazed that a clinic like this was so calm. Even the lovely receptionist waved at us as we left. The nursing team at this practice are always so lovely and smiley. It makes such a difference. I don’t envy the job of vaccinating all these children but I think this nurse will still be smiling by the end. Thanks for all your hard work.
