  1. Review titled I should have gone to A&E

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 April 2024

I am still socked from the way I was treated. Called today to book an appointment with possibly (as I am not a doctor) a streptococcus vacteria infection (last year UK had 516 deaths - 61 of them children (source: wikipedia). The day before I have called 111 and they advised that someone should see me ASAP. Instead of that I got a receptionist that was not happy that had to do the online form for me (I am with extreme pain all over my body, I am not able to eat and sleep properly the last 2 days, I have swollen glands in neck, etc). After 3 hours I receive a txt sending me to a pharmacy to check on me and give me antibiotics! How they are going to check me, this bacteria needs a swap and send to a laboratory. I even call a private GP that said if it was him he would definetely would see me in person and do tests. The new online system is really ridiculous and should be looked further. What I understood if you don't have money these days to go privately you will not be healthy.

  2. Review titled Extremely dissapointing services

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Alexandra Militaru - Posted on 28 February 2024

Extremely disappointed with the services. I left a vital medical form required for a job application with reception to be sent off to fill out by my GP and it was still incomplete after a week. The receptionists, were dismissive and curt about the urgency , and were only focused on the cost of doing this type of "private work". Despite multiple calls and visits to the surgery this past week , there's been no progress and the form is still incomplete. The woman who handles this "private work" , is very inefficient and the receptionists are patronising and unhelpful. I'm risking this job opportunity due to their inefficiency. Awareness needed about their very low services.

Dear Miss Militaru, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that you have had this experience at the practice. We run a turnaround of 28 working days for non-nhs work and I am sorry if this was not explained to you when you dropped of your form. I hope you can understand that our GPs have to prioritise clinical work over non-nhs work (which is what your form falls under). Since your review I have fedback to our reception team to make sure they make this clear to patients when dropping in such paperwork and we are in the process of making it more clear on our website. If you would like to discuss this issue further please do call the practice and ask to speak to the practice manager. Kind regards, Ms N Noel Practice Manager

  3. Review titled Access needs to be improved.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

My experience overall of this practice is positive but there are some areas of improvement. Receptionists are very helpful and all the clinicians have been very good. However access to the surgery is difficult via econsult. You have a limited period to send in an econsult in the morning, normally only 1 hour. Although the wait times on the telephone are not long to relay the issue to reception, I find the lack of flexibility with econsult makes simple questions or requests more time consuming, especially if you are a busy working person.

  4. Review titled Do they really care.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Richard Emerson - Posted on 03 November 2022

Tried to report a medical problem at 17.00 hrs on 02/11/22 to enable a triage process to begin. The system said that the surgery was not allowing such an action and to phone reception in the morning. As I was due to have a flu jab at 14.05 the following day, I waited till then and then asked reception while I was there whether I could get an appointment as I couldn't get to online triage triage and was told I would have to phone reception the following morning! This is crazy!
