I was text to book my smear text on the z21st of February. I booked my smear test and went to the doctors to be told I don’t need to have one for a year. Having had to take time out of work to go there and spending £25 on Uber. I don’t understand why someone couldn’t call me and tell me not to bother going!! Absolutely obscene.

  2. Review titled Extremely Poor Service

I rang the GP on the 11/04/2023 waited for an hour and 29 minutes just to get a reply. After waiting for that long I was told to use the e consult. Then I used the e consult to book an appointment for diabetic test. The replied back on the 15/04/2023 giving me an appointment on the 17/04/2023, and then on the morning of 17/04/2023 they cancelled the appointment and asked me to rebook my appointment using the e consult again. Honestly just to get a diabetic test done they are taking this long. How can I trust NHS, how should I know if I get a critical illness I will get the right treatment in the right time.

Thank you for contacting the surgery. We're sorry to hear of your bad experience. Our phones can get very busy at certain times which can result in a long wait. Our administrators follow a protocol, set by our clinical team for how to respond to certain queries. However we do appreciate the frustration of a long wait followed by being asked to submit an econsult. On the 17th April, sadly due to staff sickness we had to cancel some appointments as a result. We asked patients to rebook at their convenience as in the past so as to minimise the possibility of patients not being able to attend. If you'd like to discuss your concerns with a manager, please contact the surgery on 0300 123 6066. We thank you again for contacting us. Solent GP Surgery

  3. Review titled Terrible Service

This is probably the 3rd time I have complained about not only Nicholstown Surgery, but the Solent GP Surgery as a hole. For nearly 3 days now, I have tried telephoning for an appointment for my wife. You just sit there and sit there for hours, and nothing. I have tried the NHS App to book it on line, but no, it's not working. It's a disgrace, so the easy option, is to get in my car, drive all the way to Nicholstown Surgery, and see then if I can get an appointment. But will the NHS pay for my petrol, no I don't think so. So the obvious option is to move to another Surgery. Can anybody out there recommend one?
