Following a routine blood test at this practice yesterday I been been left with extensive bruising and discomfort in my arm. I have had a blood test each year for several years and am a regular blood donor. I have never experienced bruising and discomfort like this before and can only put this down to the practitioners technique.

  2. Review titled Useless

Rated 1 star out of 5

I’ve pretty much had it with this solihull no health partnership . It’s completely useless. What I don’t understand is why can’t it go back to normal now . I called up at 8 exactly and was already caller 39 and all the emergency slots had gone . How is that even possible . I’m a dentist ,it doesn’t get any more closer or face to face than that and yet we are fully up and running for the last two years !!!! What kind of ridiculous system is this, that u can’t book ahead ???? Incredible .. My 20 month old had one of his febril fits and I didn’t want to call the ambulance for nothing as it settled immediately but obviously needed to now plan a course of action as it was becoming a regular thing and my wife went to the clinic , it was 6pm , only to be told we don’t give out appointments (smh) and call in morning , well surprise surprise ! All slots gone at 8 am!! And in queue at 39 !! This service has gone completely gone downhill.. thanks for nothing !!!!!

tried to get an appointment three days on the trot and then went down and waited at 8.30 on the fourth day to be told I would be phoned and nobody phoned despite me advising I had been told to seek an urgent GP appointment for a potential cancer _ I have paid to get a private appointment as its too urgent to wait - dreadful service

  4. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 July 2022

Phoned this morning (was 47th in the queue) waited 40 minutes. Told no appointments until 29.07. I was advised to phone 111. I now have an appointment tomorrow in Castle Bromwich. This used to be an excellent surgery. Since joining SHP it’s impossible to get an appointment.

  5. Review titled Awful practice

You can’t get a appointment, as like all the other messages left on here. Despite being on the phone from 8am. There appears to be no doctors actually working there, as the waiting room is always empty. The response from your messages will always be a standard one, but there will be no improvements. This doctors was fine, until they joined together with the other practices.

  7. Review titled No accountability

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Wheeley - Posted on 06 June 2022

Only way to get appointment is to turn up at one of SHP's surgeries which involves queuing, often outside the entrance in any kind of weather. If you have an appointment, you join the same queue. The touchscreen checking in system and "patient to room x" VDU need to be reinstated across all SHP sites. What a waste of nurse and GP time having to come out and call for their next patient who may, or may not, have been checked in yet. Complete shambles.

  8. Review titled Cannot get an appointment!!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 May 2022

Trying to get through to this gp practice for an appointment is impossible. Everytime I try and call I am left in a que of 30 plus with the voice message stating ' All on the day appointments have been taken' Instructing you to only stay on the line if you think its urgent enough for today. I have tried multiple times of the day to see if there was any difference, but no!! You are made to feel that you shouldn't even be contacting them. SHP need to sort out their system and urgently. This has gone on for way too long. We should have access to our gp surgery!!

  9. Review titled Where has the service gone?

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 May 2022

We have been using Monkspath Surgery for over 10 years, ever since we moved into the area. Always been great and there when our family needed it. I can categorically say, the service and the availability to get an appointment, or even getting through on a call "sorry we have reached call capacity, goodbye" is utterly unacceptable...regardless of the times, we are in. Where has the service gone - its woeful.
