    Absolute joke to be honest. My mum’s appointment when at the surgery was quick enough but don’t expect your prescription to be sent out!! 3 days so far I have been ringing a number that doesn’t even get you to St James Medical Centre (their actual number is always engaged, even after trying for 3 days at all different times!!) and I am still no closer to getting my mums prescription. I actually managed to speak to a human yesterday who said they would speak to the doctor and get back to me but have they? No. Absolutely ridiculous. I refuse to waste anymore time chasing them and we will be going back to our own GP to make a complaint and finding someone higher up to complain to as well. No one should have to be put under this much stress to get a prescription!!

    Awful service constantly chasing them for results. In a year no improvement in skin condition have to chase up for follow up. Sent for a blood test that was not even put on the system. Not even given skin test results from three months ago. Have been discharged from service once saying i am better when i was not. Had to fight to get re referred took months to do. Still waiting for a biopsy promised a year ago. Completely stressful useless service wasting nhs money. The surgery is also dated and smells damp avoid at all costs

    Trying to get an appointment to get repeat medication. Tried to explain again and again that my phone reception is poor and that I can ring out but calls won't connect to my phone so it doesn't matter how many times the surgery arrange an appointment for me to talk to a pharmacist (by the way they haven't told me why I need to speak to a pharmacist), the call will never get through but I can call them at a specific time. Keep getting told that the procedure is that the pharmacist calls me for my repeat prescription and I keep explaining that the call wont connect due to poor reception and that I can call them and they then keep repeating that the procedure is that the pharmacist calls me. Have you gone round in circles yet reading my post??? this is what happens when I ring reception, like a parrot they keep repeating the procedure! How do you get people to move away from the procedure and use common sense to tackle a problem in order to find a solution. Problem - patient needs repeat medication but due to poor reception their phone won't allow incoming calls. Surgery - pharmacist needs to call the patient and knows that the call wont connect because the patient has told them that but they need to follow procedure and keep trying to make the call = frustrated patient and a surgery that can only follow procedure and not offer another solution and can't wait to get you off the phone.
