Review titled Book call back in with GP but it doesn’t happen

I called up at 8 am in the morning and got a call back from the doctor booked in . It got to 4pm and I hadn’t got a call back so I called the GP surgery and they confirmed I had an appointment and was on the list for a call back. I called back at 6.15 concerned as to why I hadn’t got a call back from the GP to be told I wasn’t on the waiting list and that there was nothing recorded and the doctor had gone home. The receptionist was more concerned about her having to leave to go home rather than help and I was told to call 111

Due asthma told could be seen in room off waiting area near lift. Door open frezzing no coat. It would be polite allow me to wait in warm area. Practitioner came after 5 mins room was occupied. Then i was told i had to walk top building. He prescribed steroids no antibiotics. Asked unnessesary questions already know about my lenth amout used to smoke 8 years ago. Iafter leaving Then 2.5 hours later message i also prescribed antibiotics. I didnt see message till late eve. Next day thankfully called chemisit and good job as antibiotics prescribed im ilergic to. It dhould be in my notes as iv told doctors twice at least. Im now still waiting for them to be changed. Breathing worse. My appointment 19 March 24 at 9.30 still waiting change perscription.14. 53. 20.march. My breathing worse. I need to see proper Dr. Not stand ins who don't care they make person asthma bad walk up 4 flights stairs and dont look at my notes. I could now be day 2 antibiotics but now not even started. Affecting my recovery time, time off work sick.

My son will be leaving this surgery. All his vaccinations over the years have been canceled on the actual days. Today, his appointment was canceled again due to nurse being sick. No date for next a month because everything is fully booked. I booked his appointment in advance and now i was put in a position to wait again with no booking which is unfair. I lost a day shift and going on holiday in march which put us in difficult situation. He will be months behind his vaccination. I was advised to be calling every day in a case there was cancellation. They refused to call me back when the appointment will be available. I don’t understand why I should be calling every day to make the phoneline more busy, instead of them to call me when it was their fault. This surgery is falling their patients and i will try to find better place somewhere else.

Overly long pre recorded telephone message states that you can now book appointments using the NHS app. This is incorrect as there are no appointments available to book at this surgery. Why not? The website is difficult to navigate, contains out of date information and does not allow feedback from patients about how to improve services. It is not possible to directly message this surgery.

On numerous occasion I have been told my meds be ready and when got all way to pharmacy they haven’t even been side by doctor Today as the last straw that I’m suffering I went to doctors on Wednesday and Thursday meds haven’t even been signed so waiting another day it isn’t good enough the doctor it been sent to had left for day but she had them sent to her on Wednesday

Thought I'd leave a positive review as others have been quite negative so I was preparing for a long wait but credit where it's due - I just called to make an appointment, was first in the queue, the phone was answered even before the automated message was finished, I spoke to a friendly and helpful receptionist, I didn't feel rushed and the appointment was made in two minutes flat. New phone system apparently which is helping a lot. Very many thanks.

Unable to access my medical records via MyGp. Continually failing to find connection to Milman. This is an nhs recommended app. Trying to access same records via Milman website....met with "patient" requires further validation without stating what that might be. Disgraceful and insulting if not illegal.

Cannot book an appointment for a blood test even a month in advance as they apparently don't have anyone to do it. It is imperative that I have this text once a month in order to be allowed my essential medication. If I don't get it I may become seriously ill.

I am sorry that you have experienced difficulties in obtaining a blood test at the surgery. This was down to a national shortage of blood collection bottles and patients were being redirected to the hospital phlebotomy departments. We have a team of Health Care Assistants who can take blood - I am sorry if the message that you received was confusing. I have requested for a medical certificate and I have been told that it will take 28 days for doctor to fill few fields. Any way service is extemely poor and let’s not talk about appointment system which is non existent.

After months of not being able to get through to their phone handling system, it seems they have a new call handling system in place. Was able to ring direct, request a call back holding my place (instead of queuing), got a call back from Dr in 15 minutes, and offered a face to face appointment with a highly qualified health professional/nurse that morning. Hoping this new technology will return the practice back to their previous high levels of service before they merged - fingers crossed!
